Find out how we gave three lucky film and media students from NPTC Group of Colleges the work experience of a lifetime!


Some of you may already know that we’re currently working on our very own in-house TV Studio, with which we hope to bring you live streams of our special offers, interviews with travel gurus and footage of destinations and cruise ships that we’ve captured whilst exploring ourselves.

Using our TV Studio as a platform, we aim to inspire our customers and help them to make more informed decisions about where they travel to and which cruise line they travel with.

To start our journey of developing this new and unique content, we needed to find people who are passionate about film and media – which is why we approached NPTC Group of colleges. Who better to carry out our filming than the next generation of media talent?

Three of the colleges star students were chosen to go on a 10 day itinerary of Europe visiting Barcelona, Milan, Rome, Nice and Palma. The students (Nathan, Callum and Mitchell) are all aged 19 and travelled with a lecturer from the college following an in-depth creative session with our company Directors Phil Evans and Andrea Kendal.

Nathan Davies, one of the students said,ย “It was a once in a lifetime experience travelling to all the countries people of my age can only dream of visiting, each country was so visually inspiring and I feel so lucky to have had an experience that combined two of my most loved activities, filming and travelling. I feel as though this experience has developed my film making skills massively and has given me an insight into how the industry works. It has also allowed me to network with those who have taught me valuable lessons on how to propel my career forward. I’d like to thank all those involved, especially Cruise Nation and NPTC Group of Colleges for allowing me to go on such an incredible journey that I will never forget.”

Working with the Cruise company has given the students an insight of the industry and what they can achieve in the futureโ€

Now that Nathan, Callum and Mitchell have returned from Europe, the hard work really begins as the trio carefully edit photos and video footage to showcase each of the amazing cities they’ve visited.
