Welcome to Boston

As one of America’s oldest cities, there’s a sturdy history and culture in Boston that makes it one of the most distinctive destinations to visit in the USA. Boston is the biggest city in New England and it was founded back in 1630. It’s been the site of many notable political events in history including the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Visit Bunker Hill today and you’ll discover an impressive monument (which looks remarkably like the Washington Monument) commemorating the famous battle. Boston is home to not only one of the most famous Ivy League universities in the world – Harvard, but also a plethora of others, making it a thriving university city. As a result there’s an incredible nightlife with chic champagne bars, grungy underground clubs, relaxed harbour side lounges and booming sports bars packed with atmosphere.

Weather in North America

Boston’s weather is as dynamic as the city itself, bringing four distinct seasons that each add their own charm. Summers (June to August) are warm and sometimes humid, with temperatures around 75-85°F (24-29°C)—perfect for Red Sox games, harbor cruises, and outdoor dining in historic neighborhoods.

Autumn (September to November) is when Boston truly shines, with crisp air, stunning fall foliage, and the city’s parks bursting into shades of red and gold. Winters (December to February) are cold and snowy, with temperatures often dipping below freezing, but the holiday lights and cozy pubs make it feel magical. Spring (March to May) is a welcome breath of fresh air, with blooming flowers, milder temperatures, and a renewed energy in the city. No matter the season, Boston’s weather keeps things exciting—just be ready for anything!

Tremendous all round service.

Great service all round, from booking to the emails (several) I sent with queries about the trip, nothing was too much trouble and all sorted by return. Thank you all.

Mr Paul Beaumont-18 August 2025

I called and spoke to Mary Isaac. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. She has been on the ship and could tell me all about it. It's my first cruise so there were a lot of questions. Mary was extremely helpful.
