Radiance of the Seas is the flagship of the Royal Caribbean Radiance class cruise ships, which includes the Brilliance of the Seas, the Jewel of the Seas, and the Serenade of the Seas. She was the first gas-turbine vessel built for Royal Caribbean, of which features include it more efficient at higher speeds with lower emissions than other diesel engine ships.

She had a major refurbishment in 2011, which added eight new restaurants as well as upgraded cabins, Wi-Fi throughout, and a massive new poolside movie screen. She is the Royal Caribbean cruise ship with the most glass to allow for fantastic panoramic views and is a brilliant cruise ship for guests of any age.

Cascades

Cascades, the Radiance of the Seas' main dining room spans decks 4 and 5, can seat up to 1,110 guests, and also features two private dining rooms called Tides and Breakers. The dining room on deck four opens for breakfast between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM and for lunch between noon and 1:30 PM only on sea days. If you don't have a lot of time for lunch, you will like their Brasserie 30 menu, which gets you out the door quicker. They have two fixed dinner times at 6 PM and 8:30 PM respectively. They offer the more flexible My Time Dining on deck 5, which means you can make a reservation any time between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM. While reservations aren't obligatory they are recommended.

Izumi

The Izumi Japanese Cuisine restaurant on deck eleven offers a la carte pricing for their scrumptious food offerings. It can seat up to 74 passengers and opens for lunch on certain days and dinner every day. The decor is sleek and modern with Asian art on the walls and a massive sushi bar in the middle of the room. It overlooks the Esplanade and serves fresh sushi and sashimi. The prices are reasonable compared to what you pay on land, and they also have some noodle dishes and salads available for those who don't like eating sushi.

Rita's Cantina

This Mexican restaurant opens daily for lunch and dinner. They have a small dining fee as well as an a la carte pricing system. This intimate restaurant seats up to 84 guests and is really popular for their fantastic Mexican dishes, snacks and cocktails.
