The speciality of Menorca is Caldreta de Langosta (lobster cooked in a rich stock) and Café Balear is one of the best places on the island to try it.

This is certainly a unique and memorable place for a cocktail! Cova D’en Xoroi is located in the cliffs at Cala en Porter with indoor and outdoor bars for a dramatic setting. Later in the evening it becomes a nightclub where the beats of the music compete with the roar of the waves breaking below.

Once a collection of fisherman’s huts Los Bucaneros has now been a bar for over 50 years. It’s located in Binbeca vell on the Southeast coast of Menorca. It’s right on a pristine, white sandy beach in one of Menorca’s most beautiful beach villa neighbourhoods.

This bar has a prime location that gives you excellent access to Binigaus and Cala Escorxada beaches. As well as offering an array of drinks, Es Brucs serves up delicious seafood dishes and tapas.

Located on the port in Ciutadella. Jazzbah is a live music venue aimed at the younger generation. The bar has a lovely roof top terrace which is ideal for relaxing after a long day sunning yourself whilst listening to some great live local music.

Situated in the beautiful surroundings of Mahon, Akelarre provides its guests with live music and great beer. Its kitchen is also open until one am throughout the year so you can have a bite to eat whilst listening to summer songs on the harbour.

Located at the centre of Menorca, Riders and their mounts are dressed in traditional medieval dress and perform a parade through the streets before congregating in the main square where the horses display a dance to traditional folk music.

This is a great festival for adults and kids alike as it’s one of the biggest summer festivals on the island with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The celebrations take place in the town square and harbours of Es Castell with live music, dancing horses, parades and fireworks.

Gràcia Festival celebrates Our Lady of Grace – the patron of Mahón – with a pilgrimage to the chapel which has been dedicated to her.

This annual event takes place in Ciutadella around midsummer’s eve and involves processions, displays on horseback such as jousting, mock battles involving hazelnut shells as ammunition and an enormous firework display.
