Perfect Day at Cococay
Royal Caribbean have taken yet another innovative step by completely transforming their private island, CocoCay in the Bahamas.
CocoCay is a private island reserved exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests located north of Nassau. Locals travel from nearby Great Harbor Island when a ship comes into port to sell souvenirs, arts, crafts and knick-knacks.
Royal Caribbean have spent approximately $200 million on developing CocoCay into a magnificent beach resort exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests. It is designed so all of Royal Caribbean's ships can stop there, including the biggest ships in the Oasis class. However, there is a maximum capacity of around 6,500 guests visiting the resort at any one time.
Key attractions on the island include the tallest waterslide in North America, the largest wave pool in the Caribbean, 450-foot helium balloon rides and Coco Beach - an exclusive beach resort with overwater cabanas!
The creation of Perfect Day at CocoCay
- November 2018 - A brand new pier at CocoCay will is opened to accommodate all ships, including Oasis-class.
- December 2018 - Oasis Lagoon, Chill Island and the Up, Up and Away helium balloon experience are opened.
- May 2019 - Splashaway Bay water park, Cpatain Jack's Dining, Thrill Waterpark, the Zip Line, Skipper's Grill dining and Captain Jack's Galleon open.
- 6 May 2019 - The grand opening of Perfect Day at CocoCay with the completion of South Beach and Coco Beach Club (including overwater cabanas).

Highlights of CocoCay
UP, UP AND AWAY!
Soar up to 450-feet above land in a colourful helium balloon! You'll enjoy some of the best views in the whole of the Bahamas from this very unique vantage point. This experience will has an additional cost.
CAPTAIN JACK'S DINING
Enjoy a tasty snack accompanied with live music and sea views. Captain Jack's is the main island hangout where guests can grab a drink at the rowboat bar or tuck into the house speciality of chicken wings with crispy fries and signature dipping sauces. Sounds good to us!
SPLASHAWAY BAY
Something for little kids and big kids - Splashaway Bay is CocoCay's brand new aqua park and will feature pools, whirlpools, waterslides, fountains, water cannons and two huge drench buckets! Entry into Splashaway Bay is free of charge.
THRILL WATERPARK
One for the adrenaline-seekers! This amazing waterpark features 13 slides (which is more than any other in the Caribbean) as well as the largest wave pool in the Caribbean. If you're brave enough, take on Daredevil's Tower which includes Dueling Demos drop slides, the vertical Screeching Serpent and the 135-foot tall Daredevil's Peak. Possibly the scariest, but definitely the tallest waterslide in North America!
Coco Beach Club
If you're looking for a little more exclusiveity on CocoCay, look no further than Coco Beach Club. Here you'll find the first overwater cabanas in the Bahamas, in which you'll get an overwater hammock, your very own waterslide and a private attendant to serve your each and every whim! On land there is an infinty edge swimming pool as well as a bar serving Mediterranean drinks and snacks.
Zip Line
You'll be able to leave your cares and worries on the ground....CocoCay will also feature a massive 1,600-foot long zip line! At the end of the zip line you'll make a splash landing into the beach harbour - Wow! The zip line has an additional cost.
Chill Island
If you're looking for a more typical beach experience on CocoCay, don't worry, Royal Caribbean have taken care of it! Chill Island promises to beach the beach experience you've always dreamed of enjoying in the Caribbean. White sands and crystal-clear waters. Add to that the option to take a private cabana and the nearby Chill Grill serving tasty BBQ food, you should have everything you need for an authentic Caribbean beach day.
Oasis Lagoon
Welcome to the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean! The Oasis Lagoon features an array of coves - each with their own vibe. The lagoon is great for all ages and features a child-friendly sloping entry. Adults can enjoy a drink at the swim-up bar or some quiet-time on one of the swim-up islands.
