Endless Island Fun

Royal Caribbean have taken yet another innovative step by completely transforming their private island, CocoCay in the Bahamas.

CocoCay is a private island reserved exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests located north of Nassau. Locals travel from nearby Great Harbor Island when a ship comes into port to sell souvenirs, arts, crafts and knick-knacks.

The landscape of CocoCay

Royal Caribbean have spent approximately $200 million on developing CocoCay into a magnificent beach resort exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests. It is designed so all of Royal Caribbean's ships can stop there, including the biggest ships in the Oasis class. However, there is a maximum capacity of around 6,500 guests visiting the resort at any one time.

What is the Weather in the Caribbean

CocoCay’s weather is a tropical dream come true, delivering sunshine and warmth practically year-round. Temperatures typically range from the mid-70s to high-80s Fahrenheit, creating the perfect environment for soaking up the sun or diving into the island’s vibrant blue waters. The skies are usually a brilliant shade of blue, with just a few fluffy clouds floating by to give the sun a little flair.

A soft breeze rolls in from the ocean, keeping the air light and refreshing as you explore the island’s beaches or adventure attractions. Occasionally, a quick tropical shower might make a cameo, but it’s over almost as soon as it starts, leaving the island refreshed and sparkling. Evenings on CocoCay are pleasantly warm, perfect for kicking back and watching the horizon glow with tropical colors as the sun sets. It’s the kind of weather that makes every day feel like the best day ever.

Things to do in CocoCay

Wake up to paradise at CocoCay, where endless adventures and relaxation await! Begin with a splash in the crystal-clear waters or explore the vibrant marine life while snorkeling through colorful reefs. If you’re feeling adventurous, soar across the island on the zipline or take on the record-breaking slides at Thrill Waterpark.

When it’s time to unwind, head to Chill Island for serene beaches and crystal-blue lagoons, or treat yourself to a luxurious overwater cabana at the exclusive Coco Beach Club. Savor fresh island flavors at one of the many dining spots, then grab a tropical drink to enjoy under a palm tree. Whether you’re floating in the tranquil wave pool or simply soaking up the Bahamian sun, CocoCay is the perfect blend of excitement and relaxation for your ultimate island escape!
