Southern Lights

Southern Lights is your waiter served main dining room, spread across Decks 3 and 4. Settle in for full course American style fare, with a menu that changes each evening, from soups and salads to pasta, seafood and meat dishes.

Try the Pappardelle with Braised Lamb, or choose from vegan options such as Baked Vegetable Au Gratin. Prefer Your Time Dining? Tables are first come, first served, with no advance reservations.

Northern Lights

Northern Lights is one of the ship’s two main dining rooms, spread across Decks 3 and 4. Settle in for waiter served meals, with a dinner menu that changes each evening and plenty of choice, from pasta and seafood to meat and vegetarian dishes.

Port day breakfast is worth making time for, with eggs Benedict, pancakes and more on the menu. You can request a dining time before you sail, or try a walk in when space allows.

Lido Marketplace

On Deck 10, Lido Marketplace is your easy-going food hall for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with indoor or outdoor seating when you fancy a sea breeze with your plate.

Pick between barbecue, deli favourites, salads, Asian dishes and pasta, then leave room for the daily chef's surprise. Breakfast includes a made-to-order omelette and egg station, while soft serve and frozen yoghurt are available from 11:00am to midnight.

Cucina Del Capitano

On Lido Deck 10, Cucina del Capitano brings a relaxed, family style Italian trattoria to your cruise, complete with red and white checked tablecloths and captain photographs. At dinner, tuck into made to order favourites such as Pollo Parmigiana della Cucina or Il Capitano’s Signature Arancini.

Dinner carries a dining fee, while the lunchtime made to order pasta bar is complimentary. Reservations are not required, but make one online or in the Carnival Hub app for your preferred time.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse

Follow the hickory smoke to this open-air American barbecue spot on Deck 5, near the outdoor Lanai. It is Carnival Magic's original Guy Fieri barbecue venue, serving lunch with proper smokehouse intent.

Build your plate around Championship Pork Butt or Blue Ribbon Chicken, then add Mac Daddy Mac n Cheese and a barbecue sauce that means business. Come hungry, you have choices to make.

Guy's Burger Joint

Poolside burgers have a habit of hitting differently, especially when you can build yours exactly as you like. Guy’s Burger Joint is a casual roadside shack style stop created with Guy Fieri, serving fresh-off-the-grill burgers and hand-cut fries.

Find it on Deck 10 near the family pool areas for lunch, open until 6:00 p.m. Try The Ringer, topped with cheese, Bourbon and Brown Sugar BBQ sauce and a spicy onion ring, then make a beeline for the toppings bar.

BlueIguana Cantina

A casual Mexican stop on Lido Deck 10, BlueIguana Cantina sorts breakfast and lunch with freshly made tacos and burritos. Build your burrito your way, from the tortilla to the fillings, then visit the salsa selection for a little extra swagger.

At breakfast, huevos rancheros, arepas and breakfast burritos are on the menu. Come lunchtime, chipotle-rubbed chicken, ancho roast pork or seasoned battered fish tacos make an excellent case for a second visit.

The Chef's Table

This intimate, chef hosted dinner is for food lovers who fancy seeing how the magic happens before the plates arrive. Start with a champagne toast or cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, then take a behind the scenes tour of the working galley.

Your Master Executive Chef presents a multi course meal of specially prepared appetisers, entrées and desserts not found on the regular menus. Places are limited to around 12 to 16 guests, so book ahead through the cruise manager. You must be 12 or over, with closed toe, flat, slip resistant shoes.

Prime Steakhouse

For a dinner that takes steak seriously, Prime Steakhouse on Deck 5 brings American steakhouse classics to the table. Choose from 28 day aged USDA Prime beef, including the cowboy steak, alongside seafood, gourmet appetisers and desserts.

There is also a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recognised wine list, though drinks are extra. Dinner runs from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, so reserve before you sail if this is high on your list.

Bars and Lounges

Magic Lobby

Magic Lobby is Carnival Magic's Deck 3 atrium social spot, with lounge seating, a dance floor and a bar wrapping beneath the spiral staircase. Settle in with a drink and watch the ship's comings and goings.

Live entertainment can range from salsa to classical piano, while music trivia has been known to get the room singing along to Motown and 1980s favourites.

RedFrog Pub

RedFrog Pub brings a laid-back, Key West-inspired island atmosphere to Deck 5, midship. Settle in for live music, a game of foosball and Carnival's flagship ThirstyFrog Red beer, or try a RedFrog Tropical Hurricane.

Hungry? Caribbean-style bar bites include Jamaican jerk wings, grouper fingers and conch fritters. Everyone can enjoy the pub, though you must be 21 or over to buy or drink alcohol.

Alchemy Bar

Part cocktail bar, part vintage pharmacy, Alchemy Bar is where you take your taste buds for a very enjoyable consultation. On Promenade Deck 5, midship, mixologists blend spirits, fresh juices, infused syrups and spices into clever cures.

Choose The Quick Fix, try a Revved Up Mojito Martini, or ask for a custom elixir, with or without alcohol. This one is for guests aged 21 and over, so consider it a grown up prescription for a good evening.

Vibe Dance Club

When the evening calls for more than a quiet nightcap, head to Vibe Dance Club on Deck 5. DJs keep the floor moving with current hits and retro favourites, right through to last call.

Try a cocktail such as Amp It Up! or The Clubber, then see where the night takes you. You must be 18 or over to enter, and the Carnival HUB App is the place to check that sailing's themed-night schedule.

Play It Again

Play It Again on Deck 5 aft is where you take a martini, pick a favourite and give your vocal cords a modest workout. The baby grand piano built into the bar and disco-ball-style lights set the tone nicely.

Join the pianist for a hand-clapping, foot-tapping sing-along, or simply listen with your cocktail. This venue is for guests aged 21 and over.

RedFrog Rum Bar

Poolside, Caribbean-leaning and pleasingly relaxed, RedFrog Rum Bar is where you can swap sunbathing for a rum concoction, served by the glass or pitcher. Find it on Deck 10 Mid, beside the pool.

Try the RedFrog Tropical Hurricane, mixed with Bacardi rum, exotic juices and soda, or share a Fish Bowl with two or more of your party. You must be 21 or over to drink alcohol.

BlueIguana Tequila Bar

Poolside plans pair rather well with a margarita. On Deck 10 beside the Lido pool, BlueIguana Tequila Bar brings a Mexican twist to your sea day, with slushy tequila drinks, Mexican beers and cocktails served by the glass or pitcher.

Try Blue’s Patrón Margarita, mixed with Patrón Silver Tequila, lime juice and Patrón Citrónge. This bar is for guests aged 21 and over, so keep that in mind before claiming your poolside perch.

Activities & Entertainment

Showtime Theatre

Your evening has a soundtrack at Showtime Theatre, Carnival Magic’s main show lounge, spread across Decks 3, 4 and 5. Settle in for Playlist Productions, high-energy live musical revues with singers, dancers, theatrical staging and special effects.

Shows are typically around 30 minutes, so you can fit in plenty of shipboard fun. Check the Carnival HUB app for event details and any available show reservations.

Punchliner Comedy Club

Professional comedians take to the stage at The Punchliner Comedy Club, a proper stand-up night on Promenade Deck 5. Choose a family-friendly performance, or an adult-only set if your sense of humour enjoys sailing close to the wind.

There is no cover charge or two-drink minimum. Check the Carnival HUB App or daily Fun Times programme for showtimes, then arrive ready for a laugh.

Seaside Theatre

Seaside Theatre turns the poolside on Deck 11 into your open-air big screen. Settle into a lounger, or watch from the swimming pool itself, as Dive-In Movies brings recent blockbusters to the Lido Deck.

It is not just films either, with sporting events and other big-screen programming on the bill. Suitable for all ages and included, it is an easy evening plan. Check the onboard app for that day's listings.

Hat Trick Casino

Feeling lucky, or simply fancying a look? On Deck 5, midship, Hat Trick Casino puts slots, automated Texas Hold'em and table games including roulette, craps, blackjack and poker on the main Promenade route.

There is a Hat Trick Bar directly off the casino floor for cocktails, beer or wine. You must be 18 or over to enter, and check the HUB App onboard for current opening hours.

Cloud 9 Spa

Cloud 9 Spa is your quiet corner for massages, facials and body wraps, with treatment rooms on Deck 11 and relaxation spaces on Deck 12. The Thermal Suites bring different heat and humidity environments, while the Thalassotherapy Pool adds warm, mineral rich seawater and hydrotherapy jets.

You must be 18 or over to use the spa facilities. Reserve ahead where you can, walk ins are subject to availability, and arrive 15 minutes before your treatment.

Fitness Centre

The Fitness Center on Deck 12, beside the spa and locker rooms, is where you can keep your routine moving, with cardio and strength-training equipment for a proper sea-day session.

The gym itself is included, while selected classes may cost extra. Pack proper athletic shoes, as sandals, flip-flops and backless shoes are not permitted.

Serenity Adults-Only Sun Deck

On Deck 15, Serenity Adult-Only Retreat is your peaceful outdoor corner for sea breezes, a good book or the fine art of doing absolutely nothing. It is for guests aged 21 and over, including the hot tubs.

Settle in with a drink from the nearby bar, perhaps the Serenity Martini with gin, St-Germain elderflower liqueur and pineapple juice. A playground for your inner child, without any actual children.

Carnival WaterWorks

Make a splash on Deck 12 at Carnival Magic's WaterWorks, an onboard waterpark made for all ages. Take on the 312 foot spiralling Twister Waterslide, brave the Drain Pipe, or stand clear of the 300 gallon Power Drencher.

Slides generally run from 9:00am until sunset, but check the Carnival HUB app for the day's hours. Children must be toilet-trained, and parents need to supervise as there is no lifeguard on duty.

Kids Clubs

Camp Ocean gives ages 2 to 11 a supervised, summer-camp-style base on Deck 11 midship, with Penguins, Stingrays and Sharks rooms. Expect crafts, games, science activities, films and video games, leaving you free to enjoy a little grown-up ship time.

Tweens and teens have their own Deck 4 aft lounges, Circle C and Club O2, with karaoke, dance parties and more. Register online during check-in or with Youth Staff on board, as capacity can be limited. Night Owls late-night care costs extra.
