Carnival Splendor

The ship's main show lounge, which spans decks three, four and five, offers the ship's main productions featuring musicians, dancers, and performers as well as bingo tournaments and audience participation game shows as well as other entertainment.

The casino is a large space with a vast array of glittering slot machines as well as a great variety of table games. There is a lively crowd at the casino at any given time and some staff members on hand to help teach beginners the ropes. If you enjoy playing you should keep an eye out for their very lucrative tournaments. It is open pretty much around the clock when not in port, and is very popular with guests.

One of the ship's most impressive features is its expansive 21 000-square-foot spa, which is one of the biggest and most elaborate in the fleet. The Cloud 9 Spa spans decks eleven and twelve and includes a state-of-the-art fitness centre that easily rivals any at sea. Deck 11 houses their thermal suite which includes four climate-controlled rooms offering varying degrees of steam and dry heat. The four rooms comprise of: a Tepidarium with heated ceramic loungers, a Laconium, which has gentler heat than a sauna, an Oriental Steam Bath, and an Aroma Steam Bath. This deck is also home to their Thalassotherapy pool, which is a large pool with massaging jets of mineral rich sea water.

You’ll find the mud and flotation rooms on deck twelve, where you can experience the feeling of weightlessness. This is also where you will find their VIP suites, which has their own relaxation room and whirlpools.

Here, you can join a class or make use of their state-of-the-art machines, including ellipticals, stationary bikes, treadmills, resistance machines and free weights. Some of their classes are free but others like pilates and yoga are charged per class. Personal training also is available.

Just because you’re on one of the most exciting cruise ships with all the bells and whistles, doesn’t mean that you can’t simply get away from it all sometimes. This sun deck offers a space that offers peace, quiet, sea breezes, and a nearby bar. It's the place to get done the kind of stuff you just can't seem to do anywhere else: reconnect with your partner, finish that book, or blissfully do nothing at all.

At night, the pool transforms into the ship’s outdoor Seaside Theatre with Dive in Movies. The giant screen allows you to see a movie or sporting events from the comforts of a poolside lounge chair or even from the pool itself. Popular themes include Comedy, Action & Adventure and Date Night. They come with popcorn for everyone and blankets to snuggle up in.

Cool off while having a blast at WaterWorks, Carnival Splendor’s onboard water park. Kids and adults can slide down the Twister waterslide, as well as enjoying the park’s racer slides and other water attractions, such as the kids splash zone. Keep in mind that there are height and weight restrictions for the fast-flowing rides.

Carnival Splendor attracts quite a few families, and its "Seuss at Sea" program with costumed characters and themed-events is a big hit with kids. If you’re a fan of the books, make sure you join the "Seuss a Palooza" parade that kicks off during the sail-away party. Adults need to attend as well, while kids can join Dr Seuss characters as Paradise sets sail.

Kids up to the age of eleven need to be signed in and out of Camp Carnival, which comprises three areas connected by tunnels: one area for crafts, a second one for computer games and a third one for games.

The Circle C club on deck four is for younger teens aged 12 to 14, while some events are combined for all teens. The Club O2 on deck four is for older teens aged 15 to 17 and is a social hangout with planned activities. This well thought out area is complete with a non-alcoholic drinks bar, a lazy lounge area, a dance floor, and all the latest video games.

Ah, picture this—a perfect day out on the links, where the golfer’s zen is all about the ball, the hole, and nothing in between but a beautifully manicured fairway. That is, until you spot a cactus, a treasure chest… and wait, is that a windmill blocking your shot? Who came up with this wacky course? Whoever it was, they definitely had one goal in mind—maximum fun for mini-golfers of all ages! That’s why every Carnival ship boasts its own mini-golf course, where you can swing away while soaking up the sights and sounds of the sea… plus a few seagulls for good measure.

The little ones can enjoy the best parts of summer camp all year round during their Carnival cruise! At Camp Ocean, kids are grouped by age and given awesome marine-life names: Penguins (ages 2 to 5), Stingrays (ages 6 to 8), and Sharks (ages 9 to 11). In their groups, they’ll dive into a sea of fun, with supervised activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, dancing, movies, and video games, all perfectly suited to their age. When it’s time to eat, they’ll have their own special menu, packed with kid-friendly favorites like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, and more. Throughout the day, Carnival’s experienced counselors ensure that everyone in these small groups is having the time of their lives. And the fun doesn’t stop when the sun sets—Night Owls takes over! For an additional fee, kids can stay up late, enjoying even more excitement, while their parents get a chance to relax and enjoy the evening too.

This is your space to chill and have fun with other high schoolers, ages 15 to 17. Whether you're watching movies, jamming out to the latest hits, playing sports, or battling it out in video games, there’s always something cool happening. You can even show off your singing skills in karaoke sessions or dance the night away at Carnival’s own version of prom. It’s all about making memories, meeting new friends, and having a blast—just for teens!

In addition to the crowd-pleasing Playlist Productions that guests already adore, Carnival Splendor now features the newest sensation, “Dear Future Husband.” Fresh from its Australian debut after making waves on Carnival Jubilee, this interactive pop musical takes audiences on a whirlwind wedding adventure. With a bride, groom, and their quirky entourage of best friends, the show brings all the fun and chaos of a wedding day—set on a Carnival cruise ship, of course. It’s a party on the high seas like no other!
