The Costa Pacifica was designed by Joe Farcus, cruise ship designer extraordinaire, and its theme is music, with each of its happy and colourful environments based on a different symphony. On board the ship, everything amazes, transports and entertains you and the excitement never ends.

The secret of its beauty lies in the variety of its styles as well as the breath-taking array of different spaces.

The ship's musical theme is also carried through in ship activities. Unique to Costa Pacifica are cruising's first-ever recording studio as well as a "music maestro," who oversees the unusual-for-Costa enrichment opportunity to teach participating guests to play an instrument.

Ristorante My Way

This main dining room spans decks three and four and is the Pacifica's formal restaurant. You can choose your fixed seating at either 6:30 pm or 9 pm. They offer a fabulous selection of appetisers, starters, main courses of meat or fish, side dishes, salads and desserts. They also have vegetarian and vegan options available and is the place to go if you have special dietary requirements such as being gluten free.

Ristorante New York New York

This main dining room spans decks three and four and is the Pacifica's aft formal restaurant, which opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. They offer a huge variety of different dishes and vegetarian meals and special dietary requirements are catered for.

Samsara Restaurant

In a stylish setting, the Samsara restaurant combines the creativity of Costa chefs with traditional ingredients from Pacific and Mediterranean cuisines. Fresh, mouth-watering flavours and innovative cuisine, full of the aromas and fragrances of Asia and South America but prepared with the Mediterranean style at heart, this Pacific fusion menu is a real explosion of flavour. This is perfect for guests who want to try something different.

Club Blue Moon

This gourmet restaurant features a large menu and extensive wine list. Reservations are required and dinner times are at 7.30 and 9pm. Expect to be wowed by their innovation and state of the art cooking techniques such as using liquid nitrogen to make ice cream.

Ristorante Buffet La Paloma

This self-service restaurant spans decks nine and ten and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a grill, pizzeria and sandwich area and food on offer ranges from chicken and beef burgers, hot dogs and pizza to pasta, salad, antipasto and fresh fruit.

Piano Bar Rick

This piano bar on deck five is the perfect spot for a cosy evening spent with friends with a glass of fine drink and live music.

Route 66 Sports Bar

The best place on board to catch a live sports game, Route 66 sports bar on deck five is a must for sports fans. They offer several TV screens featuring a variety of sporting events as well as a fully stocked bar.

Discoteca Fever

A very popular spot for dancing and open until the wee hours of the morning, Discoteca Fever is the ship's two floor high nightclub. Do not miss this fantastic club, which atmosphere is enhanced by a huge bank of screens spanning the height of the room.

Caffetteria Rondo

The ship's stylish coffee and chocolate bar serves a range of drinks and chocolates. It also has a fantastic chocolate fountain to dip fruit bonbons into.

Salone Around the Clock

Salone Around the Clock is a great place to catch some live country and soft pop music. This large lounge has its own bar, stage and dance floor.

Bar Classico Amapola

The Pacifica's Cognac and Cigar Bar serves a fantastic selection of fine spirits and cigars.

Grand Bar Rhapsody

The most popular spot for night time dancing, the Grand Bar Rhapsody on deck 5 has a large bar, dance floor, stage and seating area.

Activities & Entertainment

Teatro Stardust

The Teatro Hortensia main theatre spans decks three, four and five and hosts the ship's major stage productions. Entertainment offerings range from talented musical and ballet productions to exquisite laser light shows and circus acts.

Casino Flamingo

The Pacifica's casino offers a glittering array of slot machines, games tables and roulette wheels as well as hosting some bingo, poker and blackjack tournaments. It's open to guests over the age of eighteen and sometimes closes when it's in port. Sala Carte is the ship's card room just beyond Grand Bar Rhapsody on deck five.

Virtual World

Mondo Virtaule is a favourite among most teenagers on board. This video games area features comfy seating, PlayStation games consoles and the latest video games. The Pacifica also hosts PlayStation nights on the large outdoor movie screen which overlooks the Lido Calypso pool.

Samsara Spa

This two-deck retreat is a paradise where time stands still; the ideal place to unwind and relax after an exciting day exploring a new destination. There's also a thermal suite with a tepidarium, laconium, Oriental and aroma steam baths, thalassotherapy pool, Temple of Peace relaxation area and tea house.

Fitness Centre

This modern gym has a range of state of the art cardiovascular and weight training Technogym equipment as well as a qualified trainer and an area for fitness classes. While basic aerobics classes are free, some of the classes like pilates are charged for.

Grand Prix Simulator

The ship's Grand Prix simulator, The Scuderia Costa, features a Formula One car that guests can sit in to experience driving real formula one cars around racing tracks that was based on some of the best circuits in the world.

Recording Studio

One of the Costa Pacifica's signature attractions is a cruise industry first. You can now record your very own CD with help from the on-board recording studio and its experts. For 35 euros an hour you can book the studio and make use of the technicians on hand. Note that this is harder than it sounds, so start practicing your song as soon as possible. If you want to start to learn to play an instrument, you can do that as well through the innovative programme of enrichment.

Toboga Water slide

Access to Costa Pacifica's thrilling twisting water slide is on deck fourteen and it exits by the side of the Lido Bamba pool on deck eleven.

Kids Clubs

The Costa Pacifica's Squok Club is located on deck 10 and is divided into two groups: the Mini club for 3 to 6 year olds and the Maxi Club for 7 to 11 year olds. The ship's Teen Zone is on the same deck and offers activities such as access to PS2 games consoles, pool games, dance lessons, and discos, parties, dance lessons and sports tournaments.
