The Mondriaan Lounge, located over the Promenade and Upper Promenade Decks, is the ship's main show lounge with acts ranging from dancers and singers to comedians and magicians.

This show lounge is located on the Promenade Deck and serves as a multipurpose space. As well as hosting cookery demonstrations, it is also used as the ship's cinema airing films released to DVD and serving fresh complimentary popcorn. Mass is also held here.

The casino has a large array of clinking slot machines as well as a great variety of table games. The Hudson Room is one of the ship's multipurpose rooms often used for cards.

If you've always wanted to brush up on your computer skills, especially when it comes to using and editing digital photos, creating home movies or setting up web stages, pop in here for a free class when you have a couple of hours to spare.

The spa has an impressive thermal suite, which includes access to multiple saunas, a steam room, aromatherapy room, relaxation room with heated ceramic loungers and a hydrotherapy pool. Treatments onboard are provided using Elemis brand products. A dedicated salon offers hair, nail and men's services. Entry is via day or weekly pass.

This fitness centre features an impressive array of cutting-edge Cybex fitness machines such as stationary bikes, rowing machines, ellipticals and weight machines, plus treadmills that face floor-to-ceiling windows over the ocean. Some of their classes are free but others like pilates and yoga are charged per class. Personal training is also available.

The Sports Court and outdoor recreation facilities contain a netted basketball court that doubles as a soccer court. The jogging track is also located here as well as outdoor fitness equipment. The ship also features a shuffleboard court, ping-pong table and a sheltered walking track.

The Sea View pool and deck is open to the elements with beautiful views, 2 hot tubs and a wooden bench surrounding the entire pool as well as plenty of sun loungers. The Zaandam’s outdoor Sea View pool overlooks the sea and is served by the Sea View Bar.

The ship's Shopping Arcade can be found on the Upper Promenade Deck featuring a selection of shops. Guests can purchase a number of items ranging from fragrances, souvenirs and clothing to duty free spirits.

There Passengers can try a variety of delicious wines including Holland America's own label at the wine tasting bar on the Promenade Deck which can also be purchased if desired.

Club Hal has age-appropriate activities for kids aged three to twelve and the teens have their own hangout space called the Loft. Teens will find a circular couch in front of an oversized TV screen for movie watching and Xbox or Wii playing. Occasional group activities are offered including mixers, scavenger hunts and late-night discos. Children 12 years old and younger must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
