The MSC Poesia was launched in 2008 as the third of MSC Cruises' four Musica class vessels. The decor is tasteful yet exuberant, with marble countertops, brass staircase handrails, twinkling lights in the theatre's ceiling and a very impressive waterfall in the atrium. It has some charming lounges like the Zebra bar, Hitchcock Lounge and the Il Grappolo d'Oro wine bar.

Entertainment wise there is something for everyone from pools and kids' activities to nightly entertainment for the adults. What we love about this ship is that its unabashedly European, and the onboard vibe, approach to service, and passenger habits all reflect that.

Il Palladio

Il Palladio and Le Fontane are the MSC Poesia's two beautiful main restaurants that share the same mouth-watering menu. Dinner is served in set seating style with two seatings and a nice touch is that they seat people according to their nationality to encourage chatter and on board friendships.

Kaito Sushi

This speciality restaurant serves exotic offerings from far-flung corners of the world, which makes this dining experience a real enjoyment of the freshest flavours at sea. Now you can have the best sushi on board while immersing yourself in the meditative atmosphere and authentic flavours of Japan. Food include culinary treats such as sushi, sashimi, maki and tempura made by the expert hands of sushi chefs. It has an extensive menu of sushi specialities with Japanese aperitifs, plum wine, Sake and Japanese flavoured teas.

Villa Pompeiana

You will find the impressive Villa Pompeiana buffet restaurant on Deck 13. Early risers can enjoy their early bird breakfast, followed by breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. They do not have a specific time for these three meals, so it's best to check the daily programme to get this information. The buffet also stays open late for midnight snackers and have 24-hour coffee and tea bar.

Bars and Lounges

Zebra bar

The Zebra is a charming lounge and one of the hippest places onboard. You will find it on the sixth deck and it features international tunes.

Hitchcock Lounge

This quiet and intimate lounge on deck seven is themed after famed horror guru Alfred Hitchcock and has decor to match. It was designed to be the ship's cigar lounge but is not being used as such at the moment.

Il Grappolo d'Oro

This world class Wine Tasting Bar is on deck 7 and can seat up to 120 guests. Except for delicious world-class wine, you will also be treated with some scrumptious tapas and relaxing live music. They offer some incredible wine tastings with tapas as food pairings and have a sommelier on hand to help you choose the best wine for you. This is definitely a favourite among the foodies on board.

Le Rendez-vous

The Le Rendez-Vous is on deck 5 and serves as the ship's ornate reception bar. It has some incredible live music offerings and can seat up to 142 guests.

Pigalle Lounge

The vibrant Pigalle Lounge on deck 7 is open daily for rest and relaxation, activities and fun, as well as including some dining options. It is the MSC Poesia's show lounge featuring its own bar and dance floor. They offer some master classes, music concerts, game shows with the participation of the passengers, as well as karaoke.

Bar Smeraldo

You will find Bar Smeraldo on the MSC Poesia's sixth deck, and being an intimate venue, it seats up to 45 passengers. It's a great place for you to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, while enjoying the live music on offer.

Purple Bar

The Purple Bar on deck 6 seats 45 guests and is the ideal location for pre-dinner drinks.

Activities & Entertainment

Teatro Carlo Felice Theatre

The cutting-edge Teatro Carlo Felice Theatre spans decks 6 and 7 and can seat up to 1240 guests. This is the home of MSC Poesia's theatre shows, which ranges from singers and jugglers to shadow puppeteers and acrobatic gymnastics. Shows are timed in line with the two dinner seatings, so you can choose whether you prefer a show before or after dinner.

Casino

Over 18's can enjoy the fun in the Casino Royal on deck 7, which can serve 222 guests. It has its own bar and have some great games, ranging from slot machines and roulette to blackjack and poker.

Poker Room

The ship's intimate and chic card room can be found on deck 7. Card sharks and new players alike find this a great place to improve their poker face and game.

Pools

The MSC Poesia has two spectacular sparkling main pools, the Coral Bay Pool on deck 13 and the Cayo Levantado Pool on the same deck. There is a great kiddies pool on deck 14 combined with slides, climbing equipment and an outdoor play area.

Disco

If you like to get your groove on, you will love the ship's S32 disco on deck 14, complete with its own bar. The fun starts at around 11 PM, with an experienced live DJ, and carries on until early in the morning.
