You will find this 16-seat venue aft on Deck 8, Ocean Cay. With limited seating, it is better suited to a lingering pre-dinner glass than a full evening meal.

After dinner, make for Uptown Lounge on Deck 8 aft, where live music, cocktails and a proper piano lounge atmosphere keep the evening moving nicely.

The modern, cosy space pairs red and blue seating with an easy-going social feel. A published programme listed opening from 7.00 pm to 1.00 am, though times can vary by sailing.

Long Island Bar is your poolside pit stop on Deck 18, Bell Rock, beside the main outdoor Long Island Pool. Settle in with a pina colada, mojito, margarita or a cold beer, then decide whether the next sensible move is another swim or absolutely nothing at all.

It also has a gelato station next door, handy when the sun has got ideas. The bar is usually open from 8am to 1am, weather permitting, so it can take you from first dip to pool-deck party.

Take your cocktails skywards at this rooftop bar on Deck 16, where lounge seating and an alfresco setting come with panoramic sea views.

There are 130 seats, so it is a comfortably sized place to pause before your evening plans. Drinks and light bites are the order of the day, with relaxation firmly on the menu.

A proper Italian pause on Deck 6, Green Point, near Times Square. You can choose chocolate treats, gelato or coffee, then watch master chocolatiers at work in the open kitchen.

A proper Italian sweet stop, Venchi 1878 Gelato is the ship’s ice cream bar and crêperie on Deck 8, Ocean Cay. Choose gelato or a crêpe, then give the MSC-exclusive Crunchy Waves flavour a whirl.

With seating for 66, it is a fine excuse to pause the sundeck agenda for something cold, chocolatey and entirely worthwhile.

On Deck 8 in the Ocean Cay area, this American sports bar gives you an informal spot to catch the game with a beer, cocktail or spirit in hand. There is also a small menu of American-style, à la carte game-time food.

Travelling as a group? Settle into one of the booths with its own private television, then make an evening of it with the nearby billiard room. No smoke, just sport and good company.
