Restaurants

The Local Bar & Grill

The Local Bar & Grill on Deck 7 is your easy-going, 24-hour answer to hunger at inconveniently brilliant times. Settle in for proper pub-style comfort food, from a Reuben Sandwich to fish and chips.

Come for a full meal or a late snack, then stay to watch a game with a beer or cocktail on tap. Food is included in your cruise fare, while drinks follow the ship’s normal beverage terms.

image

American Diner

For comfort food with a side of nostalgia, pull up a chair at this 1950s-style diner on Deck 17. Classic-car Americana sets the scene, while juicy burgers and crispy fried chicken handle the serious business.

Save room for a housemade milkshake. Chocolate, vanilla, banana, strawberry and a flavour of the day give you several excellent reasons to return.

image

Garden Cafe

Garden Café is your indoor, self service buffet on Deck 16, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Choose what suits the moment, from made to order omelettes and pasta to the meat carving station.

No fixed dining times or assigned tables means you can eat when it works for you. Check the Freestyle Daily onboard for the latest restaurant details.

image

Room Service

Room Service brings casual comfort food straight to your stateroom, ideal when getting dressed feels like rather too much admin. Choose from salads, sandwiches, burgers and personal pizzas, with Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup on the all day menu.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 10:00 am, with Avocado Toast and French Toast among the choices. The all day menu runs from 10:00 am until 6:30 am, so a late snack is very much on the cards.

image

Savour

Savor brings classic favourites and fresh new dishes together in a chic, modern setting on Deck 6. It is the sort of dinner spot that works whether you fancy something familiar or feel like giving the menu a little room to surprise you.

With no fixed dining times or assigned tables, you can dine when it suits your evening, subject to availability. Reservations can be made in advance, or arranged onboard through the NCL app, your stateroom television, phone or the restaurant host.

image

Taste

Taste is a contemporary main dining room on Deck 6, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with multi course menus of savoury dishes made from scratch. The menu changes daily, so returning is not just an excuse to avoid doing the washing up.

With Freestyle Dining, you choose when to eat and where to sit. Pair your meal with a recommendation from the wine list, and remember, shirts and suitable footwear are required, swimwear can wait for the pool.

image

The Haven Restaurant

Tucked away on Deck 18, The Haven Restaurant is your private dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner, available only when you are staying in The Haven. It is a pleasantly civilised place to make every meal feel like part of the plan.

The menu brings together various cuisines, signature dishes and an impressive wine selection. Look out for the sea bass, then use your Haven priority reservations to keep the rest of your dining plans nicely orderly.

image

The Manhattan Room

The Manhattan Room on Deck 7 gives dinner a little extra theatre, with modern and classic dishes made from fresh ingredients and a multi-course menu to take your time over.

Settle by the floor-to-ceiling windows for ocean views, browse the extensive wine list and catch the live music. Smart casual works nicely here, so your favourite slacks are entirely welcome.

image

Food Republic

On Deck 8, Food Republic brings Asian Latin fusion to the table in tapas style plates made for passing around. Go from Pork Belly Bao to Kanpachi Wonton Tacos, then add a sushi roll if your table is feeling decisive.

It is open for lunch on sea days and dinner every night. As specialty dining carries a cover charge, reserve ahead through NCL's website or app if you have a particular time in mind.

image

Onda by Scarpetta

Modern Italian cooking gets a sea view at Onda by Scarpetta on Deck 8. You can settle indoors or take a table on The Waterfront, where dinner comes with a side of ocean air.

Handmade pasta is prepared in-house daily, including Scarpetta’s signature Spaghetti Tomato and Basil. There is seafood, Italian entrées and desserts too, plus every excuse to uncork a favourite bottle. Reserve through MyNCL or the NCL app, subject to availability.

image

Cagney's Steakhouse

For a proper steakhouse supper, head to Cagney’s on Deck 8. Choose from premium Black Angus beef and seafood, with filet mignon, surf and turf and slow-roasted prime rib all on the menu.

Pair your pick with parmesan-dusted truffle fries and a Sidecar, then settle in. Reservations can be made before you sail, which is the smart move for a popular speciality table.

image

Palomar

Palomar brings Mediterranean seafood to Deck 8, with European flavours and a smart but easy-going atmosphere. Start with tuna crudo or grilled octopus, then make room for Dover sole with lemon and capers.

There are steaks and lamb chops for the less fish-forward at the table, plus wines and cocktails chosen to pair with your meal. Book before you sail or via the app onboard, subject to availability.

image

Teppenyaki

Take your seat at a shared table on Deck 6, where the chef turns a large steel grill into dinner and a bit of theatre. Expect sizzling shrimp, steak, chicken and fried rice, with surprises thrown in for good measure.

Choose a classic such as New York Strip or Chicken Yaki Udon, served with garlic fried rice and grilled vegetables. Book through MyNCL or the NCL app, as reservations are subject to availability.

image

Le Bistro

Le Bistro brings French cooking to Deck 17, with classic décor and housemade dishes that make dinner feel a little more occasion-worthy. Start with Escargots Bourguignonne, then consider the Coq Au Vin or Sole Grenobloise.

Champagne choices include Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label and Rosé. It is speciality dining, so book your table before sailing through NCL’s website or app, then turn up suitably put together.

image

Q Texas Smokehouse

Texas barbecue with a proper sense of occasion, Q Texas Smokehouse on Deck 6 serves smoked ribs, chicken and brisket with traditional sides. The meats are smoked over oak wood on board, so come ready for a seriously hearty supper.

As dinner eases off, contemporary country music takes over. Stay for a drink, a dance and a honky-tonk finish to the evening.

image

Dolce Gelato

A stroll along The Waterfront is improved considerably by a scoop of Italian-style gelato. Dolce Gelato on Deck 8 serves slow-churned gelato with a dense texture and intense flavour, plus plenty of flavours to choose from.

Pick your favourite, then take it outside for sea views or settle into one of the nearby outdoor sofas. The only difficult decision is which flavour gets the honour.

image

The Bake Shop

A little sugar break never hurt anyone. On Deck 8, The Bake Shop is your stop for French macarons, chocolate bonbons and gourmet cupcakes, all available à la carte.

There are also cookies and pastries when a cupcake feels like showing admirable restraint. Pick up a treat, find a comfortable corner and let your sweet tooth take the lead.

Bars and Lounges

image

Starbucks

Starbucks

Your familiar coffee stop at sea, Starbucks on Deck 6 is the place to pick up freshly brewed coffee, speciality drinks and a pastry before settling into the surrounding atrium. A Caramel Macchiato makes a very convincing case for slowing down.

For something cooler, try a Teavana® Shaken Iced Green Tea Lemonade, or look out for seasonal coffee specials. It is à la carte, so your standard cruise fare does not cover drinks here.

image

The District Brew House

The District Brew House

If a proper pint is part of your holiday plan, make for The District Brew House on Deck 8. Choose from more than 50 bottled beers and over 20 on draft, with hand-crafted speciality cocktails for anyone who prefers their refreshment shaken rather than poured.

Settle by the floor-to-ceiling windows for ocean views, catch the live music, then make use of the photo booth. Very civilised, until the camera roll says otherwise.

image

The A-List Bar

The A-List Bar

The A-List Bar on Deck 8 is your sociable stop for signature cocktails and a chat with fellow passengers. Pull up a seat, order a scotch and soda, and let the evening find its own pace.

With space for 62 guests, it is a smart choice for a pre-dinner drink near Cagney’s Steakhouse and Los Lobos. Beverage packages may cover eligible drinks, otherwise charges apply.

image

Sugarcane Mojito Bar

Sugarcane Mojito Bar

Freshly muddled mint, rum and a sea view are a persuasive trio. Sugarcane Mojito Bar is a Cuban-inspired spot on Deck 8, with indoor seats and places along The Waterfront.

Settle in for a hand-crafted mojito, a Tiki cocktail or a mojito flight when choosing just one feels needlessly restrictive. It is made for catching up in the fresh air, by day or night.

image

The Cellars Wine Bar

The Cellars Wine Bar

Pull up a stool at this relaxed Deck 8 wine bar, where Michael Mondavi Family wines take centre stage. Swirl a Merlot, catch up with friends and pair your chosen vintage with light bites from Onda by Scarpetta.

Know your reds from your whites, or simply know what you like? The Tasting Table offers wine education for both newcomers and seasoned sippers. A sensible stop before dinner, especially if you fancy giving your wine vocabulary a little polish.

image

Skyline Bar

Skyline Bar

On Deck 7, Skyline Bar is your handy stop for a cocktail before dinner or a catch up after the show. Set beside the Encore Casino, it has the easy buzz of a casino lounge without requiring you to commit to a full night at the tables.

Fancy a little low stakes screen time? Pull up a seat and try the bar top poker screens while you sip. Drinks are chargeable unless covered by an applicable beverage package.

image

The Local Bar & Grill

The Local Bar & Grill

The Local Bar & Grill on Deck 7 is your relaxed, round the clock stop for proper pub fare and a casual drink. Settle in with a Reuben sandwich or fish and chips, then catch a game with beers and cocktails on tap.

It is complimentary for dining, so it is an easy choice when hunger appears at an inconveniently convenient hour. The bar, naturally, is a separate matter.

image

Mixx Bar

Mixx Bar

Mixx Bar on Deck 6 is your easy meeting point for cocktails and conversation, neatly placed between Taste and Savor. Pop in before dinner, or settle in afterwards for live piano.

With just 32 seats, it suits a relaxed catch-up rather than a grand night out. Drinks are not generally included unless your fare or beverage package covers them.

image

Maltings Whiskey Bar

Maltings Whiskey Bar

Maltings Whiskey Bar is a 46 seat lounge on Deck 8, on the starboard side beside the sea. Sink into a green armchair, take in the ocean facing view and explore an international selection of spirits, with whiskey very much leading the conversation.

Fancy taking your drink next door? You can carry a whiskey cocktail into the neighbouring Humidor Cigar Lounge for a cigar pairing.

image

Observation lounge

Observation lounge

At the forward end of Deck 15, this indoor lounge gives you 180 degree views through floor to ceiling windows. Settle in with a book, watch seascapes, landscapes and cityscapes roll by, or stay for piano and light music at night.

Light bites can include yoghurt parfaits, fruit, finger sandwiches and pastries, while the full service bar has cocktails for a nightcap. Tea Time has appeared from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on a published daily programme, so check your onboard schedule first.

image

Atrium Bar

Atrium Bar

Right in the busy heart of Deck 6, Atrium Bar is your handy stop for a coffee-free morning pick-me-up, a mid-day Bloody Mary or a late-night cocktail. You will find beer, wine and cocktails close to Guest Services, Starbucks and the ship's social buzz.

It is a good place to pause between plans, especially when live music is adding a little extra atmosphere to the Atrium. Drinks may be covered by an applicable beverage package, subject to its terms.

image

Horizon Lounge

Horizon Lounge

Reserved for guests staying in The Haven, this private two-storey lounge is where you take your favourite cocktail, add a few light bites and let the sea do the showing off.

Set high in the forward Haven area across Decks 17 and 18, Horizon Lounge comes with panoramic views and very little reason to be anywhere else.

image

The Haven Lounge

The Haven Lounge

A quiet corner of The Haven on Deck 17, this private lounge is reserved for Haven guests. Settle in with a book, chat with fellow guests or simply enjoy the satisfying art of doing very little.

Expertly crafted cocktails and light bites are on hand when lounging works up an appetite. It is less about a packed schedule, more about having a peaceful place to call your own.

image

Vibe Beach Club

Vibe Beach Club

A playground for your inner child, without any actual children. Vibe Beach Club is an adults only outdoor retreat across Decks 19 and 20, with plush loungers, an oversized hot tub and wide ocean views.

Order a cocktail, perhaps a margarita, then settle in with a chilled towel and fruit skewer. Passes are limited for the full cruise, so reserve early if quiet deck time is high on your list.

Activities & Entertainment

Behind the Scenes Tour

Behind the Scenes Tour

Ever wondered what keeps a ship this size ticking? This guided walking tour takes you into the working heart of Norwegian Encore, from the Bridge and Engine Control Room to the galley, laundry and theatre backstage.

You can see costumes and dressing rooms, watch food preparation and meet the officers on the Bridge. Places are limited, so book through MyNCL before sailing. You must be at least 8, with closed-toe shoes required.

image

Choir of Man

Choir of Man

The Jungle is an English pub with rather more foot-stomping than your local. Take your seat in the Encore Theater and watch nine men bring high-energy music, dance and live percussion to classic rock, pub tunes and sing-along favourites.

Raise a glass, join the chorus if the mood takes you, and check the NCL app for show times and reservations on your sailing.

image

Deal or No Deal

Deal or No Deal

It is not just a show, it is your chance to test those armchair game show instincts. Watch a randomly selected contestant weigh up sealed briefcases and decide whether to keep their case or take the Banker’s offer.

You can play along in real time from the audience, with play cards available to buy. Find it in the Encore Theatre across Decks 6 and 7, then check the Freestyle Daily for the exact time.

image

Social Comedy and Night Club

Social Comedy and Night Club

Start on Deck 6 with two stand-up comedians, then swap punchlines for playlists as the DJ takes over the dance floor. It is the sort of evening that requires very little planning and even less restraint.

Programming varies by sailing, with comedy appearing once or twice on some cruises. The venue also hosts Prohibition: The Musical, an adult-oriented interactive show with a separate charge.

image

The Cavern Club

The Cavern Club

Step into a recreation of the legendary 1960s Liverpool club on Deck 8, where brick walls, blue lighting and a stage set the scene. You can settle in for live Beatles tunes from the cover band, with shows spanning the early, middle and later years.

The music is included, while drinks such as the signature Scotch Sour are separate unless your booking says otherwise. Check the daily programme for that evening's showtimes.

image

Encore Speedway

Encore Speedway

Put your cornering nerve to the test at this outdoor, two-level go-kart track spanning Decks 18 and 19. You will race around hairpin turns on a course of more than 1,100 feet, including a section that reaches out over the side of the ship.

Not racing? Take the covered viewing area, then use a laser gun to give your chosen driver a turbo boost. There is no minimum age, but you must meet the applicable height and safety requirements.

image

Perspectives Studio

Perspectives Studio

Put everyone in the frame at Perspectives Studio on Deck 6. An onboard Portrait Artist can photograph you in the private studio or choose an on-location setting around the ship, with portraits centred on love, life and human connection.

Trying professional photography is free, then you can view your images at the Photo Gallery and decide what to take home. For a private session, book before you sail.

image

Professional Portraits

Professional Portraits

Put your best holiday face forward. Professional photographers set up in the Atrium and around the ship each evening, ready to help you relax, pose and build a digital portfolio. The listing is linked to Deck 6, though the cameras roam further afield.

It is free to try, then you decide whether any photographs or products deserve a place at home. View your snaps at the Deck 8 Photo Gallery, self-service kiosks or on your mobile during the cruise.

image

Aqua Park

Aqua Park

For a proper splash of high-seas mischief, head to Aqua Park for two multistorey waterslides, pools and room to lounge by the water. Race side by side on the tandem Aqua Racer, or take on Ocean Loops, whose double loop sends you over the side of the ship.

Prefer your thrills with a little less shrieking? Claim a poolside spot and cool down with a frozen drink. Ocean Loops is on Deck 17.

image

Galaxy Pavillion

Galaxy Pavillion

Galaxy Pavilion on Deck 17 is where you swap sea views for neon lit virtual worlds. Take on simulator rides, interactive games and VR adventures, from Formula One racing to a Jurassic inspired Jeep chase.

For a proper group challenge, Bamboozled lets up to six of you tackle holograms and enchanted artefact puzzles in 45 minutes. Hints are available, so no one need pretend they had it all along.

image

Kids' Aqua Park

Kids' Aqua Park

On Deck 16, beside the pools and sun deck, this interactive splash zone gives younger cruisers a tube slide, tipping buckets and water cannons. Expect soaking, squeals and a far better use of a warm afternoon than sitting still.

Children under 12 need an adult with them, and children in nappies or not toilet trained cannot use the aqua park. Leave snacks, drinks and glass outside, then follow the posted rules.

image

Encore Casino

Encore Casino

Feeling lucky, or just curious? Encore Casino on Deck 7 brings together reel and video slots with table games including blackjack and craps.

You will find it near the Encore Theater and Skyline Bar, so it is an easy stop when the evening is still young. You must be 18 or over to gamble and show valid ID.

image

Entourage

Entourage

Entourage is the supervised Deck 5 hangout for teens aged 13 to 17, with zones for games, dancing, parties and simply finding your people. Video games, movies, music, arts and sports keep the social calendar ticking over nicely.

Register as soon as you board, as places are first come, first served. Teens will need their Entourage wristband and key card to join in.

image

Guppies

Guppies

Guppies Open Play on Deck 5 gives you and your smallest cruiser time to play together, with toys, balls and sensory items for little hands and curious minds. It is designed for babies, infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 3 years, including children in nappies.

This is parent supervised play, not a drop off programme, so settle in and enjoy the rare chance to join the fun. Check the onboard Freestyle Daily for session times, as they vary by sailing.

image

Splash Academy

Splash Academy

Splash Academy on Deck 5 is the supervised, drop-off club for children aged 3 to 12. While you enjoy some grown-up ship time, they can get stuck into creative play, sports competitions, themed adventures and parties.

Sessions use flexible stations such as Dynamic, Creative & Chill and Gaming, so there is plenty to keep busy minds busy. Register soon after boarding, as places are subject to availability. Regular sessions run while the ship is sailing; Late Night Fun Zone, from 10pm to midnight, costs extra.

image

Pulse Fitness Center

Pulse Fitness Center

On Deck 16, Pulse Fitness Center gives your workout a rather better view than the local gym, with 270 degree ocean vistas beyond the horizon. Lift weights, stretch or take to the mat for yoga while the ship does the scenery.

Fitness centre access is included in your cruise fare, while classes may cost extra. Guests under 16 cannot enter, so this is firmly a grown up workout zone.

image

Spa

Spa

Mandara Spa and Salon on Deck 16 is where sea days get properly unhurried. Choose from massages, facials, acupuncture, hair styling and beauty services, including the Zero Gravity Wellness Massage.

For adults, the aft Thermal Suite adds heated loungers, a Vitality Pool, Salt Room and Snow Room. Treatments and spa time can be booked through your NCL account before sailing, which is one less thing to arrange once you are in holiday mode.

image

Spa Thermal Suite

Spa Thermal Suite

Set at the aft of Deck 16 within Mandara Spa, this adults-only heat and relaxation space takes its cue from Turkish baths. Move between the Aromatic Steam Room, Salt Room, Dry Sauna and Snow Room, then settle onto a heated ceramic lounger with wide sea views.

A Thermal Suite pass is required for entry, even if you have booked a spa treatment. You must be 18 or over, so this is proper grown-up switch off time, with no small feet splashing nearby.

image

Video Arcade

Video Arcade

Put your reactions to the test at Norwegian Encore's Video Arcade on Deck 5. You can capture aliens, pilot a fighter jet or race for the finish, depending on which modern game catches your eye first.

It is a handy stop when you fancy a little friendly competition between bigger plans. Play carries an extra charge, so save room in the holiday budget for another round.

image

Park West Gallery

Park West Gallery

Park West Gallery on Deck 6 is your chance to browse modern favourites and timeless classics between everything else on board. Chat to the art experts, take in an art history seminar, or simply have a look at works from artists including Peter Max and Romero Britto.

Feeling competitive? Drop into a live auction and watch the bidding unfold. Browsing and activities are there to enjoy, while any artwork you choose to buy comes at an extra cost.

image

Sandbar

Sandbar

Need a holiday essential, or simply fancy a look at the latest fashion? Sandbar on Deck 8 is your onboard stop for fashion items and accessories.

You can also pick up toiletries and travel essentials if something stayed behind at home, plus retail bottles of liquor for later. Handy, stylish, and rather better than rummaging through your suitcase.

image

The Beauty Shop

The Beauty Shop

A little browse with big scent potential, The Beauty Shop on Deck 8 is your tax and duty free stop for beauty products and fragrances.

You can pick up names including Hermès, Tom Ford, Dior and Chanel, alongside Lancôme, Estée Lauder and Clinique. Handy for a treat for yourself, or a gift that does not involve a fridge magnet.

image

Treasures

Treasures

A browse through Treasures is an excellent excuse to add a little sparkle to your sea day. This fine-jewellery shop on Deck 8 aft brings together diamonds, gemstones and pieces from names including John Hardy, Kallati and Le Vian.
