There are no televisions competing for your attention here. Instead, relax with live piano and vocal performances, and make the most of the largest seating area in Bar City.

Maltings is your Deck 6 stop for an unhurried beer, a good whisky and the sort of conversation that does not need a timetable. Set on the starboard side alongside the sea, it is made for settling in rather than rushing off.

Scotch takes centre stage, with an international selection of spirits also on hand. Pop in before dinner, stay after it, or simply claim a seat and let the sea provide the background music.

Tucked inside the ship’s Asian restaurant on Deck 7, Sake Bar is your spot for premium sake and imported beer. It sits just outside Chin Chin, beside the sushi bar, so you can make an evening of it.

Freshly muddled mojitos are the order of the day at Sugarcane Mojito Bar, whether you are catching up with friends in the sunshine or settling in for the evening. The Classic Bacardi Mojito is a fine place to start.

You will find this easy-to-miss cocktail stop on Deck 13, at the front of Moderno Churrascaria. Worth seeking out, especially when a proper mojito feels more sensible than another ordinary drink.
