Vibe Beach Club is your adults-only outdoor retreat across Decks 19 and 20, with ocean views, plush loungers and an oversized hot tub. A playground for your inner child, without any actual children.

Maltings Whiskey Bar is your sea-facing spot for a slower drink on Deck 6, starboard side. Settle in indoors, watch the water roll by and work your way through whiskies, scotches, bourbons and cocktails.

With seating for 56, it is made for a well-timed pre-dinner pause or a nightcap with rather better views than your local.

Freshly muddled mojitos are the order of the day at Sugarcane Mojito Bar, a Deck 8 spot for catching up with friends and giving your usual drink order a tropical rethink. Try a Raspberry Guava, Jalapeño Cucumber or Spicy Passion Mojito, each with more personality than your average minty number.

You can sip indoors or out on The Waterfront, because sea air tends to improve most things, cocktails included.

A Beatles themed bar and live music lounge on Deck 8, styled after Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club. Settle in for rock and roll, Beatles tribute performances and, when the mood takes you, karaoke.

Order the signature Scotch Sour, then keep an eye on the daily programme. Some tribute shows may move to the main theatre, so you can follow the music rather than miss a beat.

The Cellars Wine Bar brings a little Napa Valley know-how to Deck 8, with the Michael Mondavi Family name behind the bottles. Settle in for a glass of Merlot, or follow your curiosity somewhere new.

The Tasting Table welcomes both wine experts and enthusiastic amateurs, so you can swill, sip and compare without pretending you can detect notes of old library.

Right in the heart of the Atrium on Deck 6, this easy-going bar is made for a pause between plans. Settle in with coffee in the morning, or choose from beer, wine and cocktails as the ship hums around you.

Come midday, the Bloody Mary is the one Norwegian calls out. Later on, it is a handy spot for an early drink or a final toast before turning in.
