O'Sheehan's Neighbourhood Bar & Grill
A relaxed sports pub on Deck 8, O’Sheehan’s is where you can catch a game, settle in with a beer or cocktail, and make a proper meal of it.
It is open 24 hours, so late-night fish and chips, a Reuben or chicken wings are very much on the agenda. Handy when conventional mealtimes have wandered off without you.
The Aqua Dining Room
Aqua is one of Norwegian Star’s complimentary main dining rooms, bringing a contemporary flair to a wide-ranging dinner menu. You will find Chef’s Signature Dishes, daily-changing choices and selected wine recommendations on Deck 6.
No fixed dining time to wrestle with here. Dinner is reported from 5:30pm to 10pm, so you can eat when it suits your evening.
Garden Cafe
Garden Café on Deck 12 is your easy-going, self-service stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pick what suits your appetite, without committing to a fixed menu.
Start with a made-to-order omelette, return later for pasta or the meat-carving station. It is included in your cruise fare, so seconds are very much your business.
Topsiders Bar & Grill
Pool days run better with a burger in hand. On Deck 12, Topsiders Bar & Grill serves made-to-order grilled treats, including burgers and hot dogs, right by the main pool.
Come as you are, grab an easy bite before the day gets going or after a late one. The adjoining bar serves beer and mixed drinks for poolside lounging, with two hot tubs nearby.
The Versailles Dining Room
Versailles is one of Norwegian Star’s main dining rooms, serving traditional continental cuisine with ocean views on Deck 6. Menus change daily, with Chef’s Signature Dishes and selected wine recommendations to keep dinner from becoming same old, same old.
There are no fixed dining times or assigned seats, so you can eat when it suits you. Just swap the swimwear for put-together attire, shirts and footwear included.
Moderno Churrascaria
For a proper meat feast on Deck 13, Moderno Churrascaria brings Brazilian steakhouse theatre to the table. Start at the salad bar, where imported cheeses, olives, cured meats and speciality salads make a rather convincing case for taking your time.
Then let passadores carve slow roasted beef, pork, lamb and chicken from skewers at your table. A Caipirinha with cachaça and lime is a fitting companion. Book ahead, this speciality restaurant is popular.
Ginza
Ginza brings Thai, Chinese and Japanese flavours together on Deck 7, ideal when your taste buds are refusing to settle for just one country.
Tuck into freshly prepared noodles, wok-fried dishes and authentic soups, then linger over the Asian menu at your own pace. The food is included in your cruise fare, which makes trying something new feel like a very sensible idea.
La Cucina
For an Italian dinner with a little more occasion, make for La Cucina on Deck 6. This rustic, chic speciality restaurant serves fresh-ingredient pasta alongside favourites such as osso buco and spaghetti carbonara.
Save room for the affogato, vanilla gelato topped with hot espresso. It is open for dinner, and reservations are strongly recommended, so book ahead and let the evening take care of itself.
Le Bistro
Le Bistro on Deck 6 gives French classics a contemporary flourish, with crisp white linens, light music and an intimate handful of tables. Date night, sorted.
Begin with escargots in herbed garlic butter, then make a case for coq au vin. There is a thoughtful wine selection too, so reserve before you sail if this is your table for two.
Cagney's Steakhouse
Cagney’s Steakhouse on Deck 13 is where you go when only a proper steak will do. Choose from Premium Black Angus Beef, seafood and classic cocktails, with an extensive wine list for those who take their red seriously.
Order your steak rare through well done, then make it yours with chimichurri, Béarnaise or port wine jus. The surf and turf, with filet mignon and lobster tail, is particularly hard to argue with.
The Market Cafe
The Market Café is your easy-going buffet stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with plenty of choice when you fancy eating on your own schedule.
Head for the special-order stations when a standard plate will not do. Omelettes, waffles and sandwiches are made to order, so you can keep it simple or make a meal of it.

When the mood shifts from dinner to dancing, head to Bliss Ultra Lounge on Deck 7. This high-energy bar and nightclub pairs high-voltage music with custom loungers, so you can choose between claiming a seat or joining the action.
Cocktails, beer and wine are ordered separately, while entry has no cover charge. Keep an eye out for the White Hot Party, when wearing white is very much the point.

It sits beside a hot tub, so you can make a proper afternoon of it. The food is marked as complimentary, while drink inclusions are not specified.

Freshly muddled mojitos, day or night. Sugarcane Mojito Bar is a small, cocktail-first stop on Deck 13, midships, sharing its space with Moderno Churrascaria.
With just 10 seats, this is one for a pre-dinner sip rather than a lengthy takeover. Published hours are 5pm to 11pm daily, though these can vary by sailing.

A Caribbean and South Florida-inspired stop on Deck 7, 5 O' Clock Somewhere Bar brings surfboards, colourful deck chairs and a rum and tequila-forward bar menu to the link between the lobby and Bliss Lounge.
Try the 5 O' Clock Somewhere cocktail, mixed with Margaritaville Silver and Spiced rums and passion fruit, then settle in for live music. It serves drinks only, so plan dinner elsewhere.
Stardust Theatre

Stardust Theatre is Norwegian Star's main stage, at the forward end of Deck 6 and spanning three decks. Take your seat for Broadway and Vegas style productions, live music, comedy and game show entertainment.
The line-up can change by sailing, with The Broadway Cabaret and Women of Rock among the named shows. Check your daily programme for show times, then let the curtain do the rest.

Fancy testing your luck between shows? Star Club Casino on Deck 6 brings reel and video slots, blackjack, craps, roulette and multiple-play video poker into the heart of the ship.
You will find it near Gatsby’s Champagne Bar and the Stardust Theater. It is for guests aged 18 and over, with valid ID required, and opening hours can vary with the itinerary.

On Deck 11, Mandara Spa and Salon is where you swap sightseeing plans for a deep-tissue massage, Biotec facial or a sharp new haircut. Very sensible, really.
The Thermal Suite brings heated loungers, an aromatic steam room and a thalassotherapy pool into the equation. It is for guests aged 18 or over and requires a separate voyage pass.

Pulse Fitness Center on Deck 12 lets you keep your routine going with 270-degree sea views for company. Work out, lift weights, stretch or simply remind your legs what they are for after a particularly committed afternoon by the pool.
Gym access is included, while classes and specialist services cost extra. You must be at least 16 to use the centre, and you can book classes onboard at the Mandara Spa reception or here.

A scenic Deck 13 track for a walk, a run, or a brisk lap when the sea air has persuaded you to be sensible. Around three and a half laps make a mile, with elevated views over the pool area.
It is close to the Sports Deck, shuffleboard and hot tubs, so you can choose your pace. Trainers on, views ahead.
The Oasis Pool

The Oasis Pool is Norwegian Star’s main outdoor pool on Deck 12, with ample space for sunbathing when your only appointment is with a good book.
Take a dip, then claim a spot in one of the two nearby hot tubs. Topsiders Bar & Grill is next door for quick bites, made to order grilled food and refreshing drinks, so a poolside pause need not involve a grand expedition.

Young cruisers have their own plans. Splash Academy on Deck 13 offers supervised, flexible drop off for ages 3 to 12, with creative play, active games and age appropriate choices.
Teens aged 13 to 17 can head to Entourage on Deck 12 for gaming, films, music, sports and social events. Register each child or teen as soon as you board, as spaces are subject to availability.
