Norwegian Sun

The Stardust Theatre is the Sun's main entertainment venue which hosts the ships' production shows. It spans decks five, six and seven and has just one nightly show, which is open to guests on a first come first serve basis. You should be able to get a seat if you show up when the doors open, approximately half an hour before the show. They have big shows available like "Rock You Tonight," a musical tribute to rock icons such as Queen, Journey, The Who and Tina Turner. The theatre is also used to screen movies as well as bingo, port shopping talks and other activities.

This second entertainment show lounge can be found on deck twelve, with lovely decoration in blue and beige mixed with comfy new leather arm chairs. It's a great place to relax during the day with its Cuba-inspired artwork and fantastic panoramic sea views. It's served by its own bar, and features a dance floor, which really comes alive later in the evenings after 11 pm, when this becomes an adult only venue. Everyone is however welcome during the day, when it hosts game shows, dance classes and bingo games.

The Norwegian Sun's casino is an over 18's venue that can be found on deck seven. It has its own bar and cigarette smoking is permitted. As well as having plenty of fun slots machines, they have some great gaming tables like Craps and Roulette, and Caribbean Stud and Blackjack.

The Mandara Spa offers several treatment rooms, a thermal suite and salt room, as well as a full-service salon and barber shop. Spa services include facials, massages and ionithermie body treatments; salon services include haircuts and styling, manicures, pedicures, waxing and men's shaving.

The gym features equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, bikes and free weights. Fitness staff offer world class personal training and group fitness classes, some of which are charged for.

Norwegian Jewel has plenty of outdoor facilities to help burn the excess calories consumed at the buffet. It has a sports deck on deck twelve and a basketball court which can also be converted into a tennis or volleyball court. It also has soccer goal posts, golf driving nets, shuffleboard and a ping-pong table. Those who enjoy walking or jogging can make use of the jogging track on the same deck.

Deck 12 is the pool deck, where you'll find two pools and four hot tubs (which are open late). The pools are accessible to people with disabilities and there are plenty of comfy deck chairs where you can relax and soak up some sun.

There's also a small kids' pool area with a hot tub and a mini-slide that leads to a tiny wading pool where families can spend time together. Kids must be potty trained to use this pool.

The Splash Academy kids' programs are broken down by age: Guppies (6 months to 2 years old); Turtles (3 to 5 years old); Seals (6 to 9 years old) and Dolphins (10 to 12 years old). Each has their own schedule of hosted activities during both the day and the night. The Splash Academy youth center is located on Deck 7 and is a bright, colourful open play area with forward-facing windows.
