Astonishing brings live magic, illusion and choreography to the Headliners Theatre, created by Stephen Mulhern and Jonathan Wilkes. Settle in for stagecraft designed to keep your eyes busy and your theories thoroughly unconvincing.

You may even become part of the act from your seat, with gold envelopes handed out before the show. Keep yours close, apparently the magic is not content with staying on stage.

Centre Stage brings a little touch of West End magic to Azura, with songs from contemporary musicals including 9 to 5, Matilda and Tina. Proper show tunes, no need to cross London for them.

You will find the production in the forward Playhouse Theatre, which spans decks 6 and 7 and seats nearly 900 across two levels.

The Retreat is Azura’s private outdoor spot for proper me time, forward on Deck 17. Stretch out on a more comfortable lounger, take a dip in one of two whirlpool spas, then let a Retreat Steward bring chilled drinks, snacks and a cold flannel. Very civilised.

Access is chargeable, so arrange your pass at the Oasis Spa reception once you are on board, or pre-purchase it in a spa package.

On Deck 16, the Oasis Spa and Salon is where you can swap sightseeing for a massage, facial, fresh hair styling or even a barber service. Couples treatments and acupuncture are on the menu too, should your holiday plans require a little extra unwinding.

The sauna and steam room are complimentary, while the thermal suite and hydropool carry a charge. Book treatments through My P&O Cruises up to three days before you travel, as the good slots tend to be the first to disappear.

Four pools give you plenty of ways to make a splash or simply claim a lounger with purpose. Head midship to Coral and the larger Aqua pool on Deck 15, where hot tubs and pool-deck space keep the day nicely unhurried.

For wake views, take a dip in the aft Terrace Pool, with the Terrace Bar close by. Check the daily schedule for pool activities and SeaScreen films, then settle in for a proper poolside afternoon.

Fancy settling a score without taking it too seriously? Games on Azura brings friendly competition indoors and out, from Pictionary and quizzes to skittles tournaments.

Take aim at archery, try shuffleboard or plot your next move over giant chess. Organised tournaments may be part of the programme, so there is every chance your holiday rivalry could become gloriously official.

Whether you fancy learning a few new steps or simply moving to the music, Azura’s daytime dance sessions put you in capable hands, with dance instructors on every cruise.

Try Dance Fit or line dancing, then save some energy for a silent disco. It is a rather good excuse to dance like nobody is watching, because technically, they cannot hear your soundtrack.

Film night, with sea air thrown in. SeaScreen is Azura’s open-air cinema, with a giant screen above the pool area on Lido Deck 15.

Settle in under the night sky for a varied film programme made for the whole family. Popcorn, ice cream and other snacks are available to buy, should the plot require provisions.

Feeling lucky? Head to Azura’s casino on Deck 6, also known as F Deck, for table games including blackjack, roulette and poker, plus slot machines.

It is part of the ship’s play to win entertainment, with bingo sessions and virtual races also available in the wider casino programme. The venue is included, though any stakes are very much your call.

A quiet corner on Deck 5, P Deck, for a proper read, a little pause, or both. Borrow as many books from the onboard collection as you can get through during your cruise, because packing light should not mean running out of chapters.

Computers are available for browsing the web and keeping in touch with home. Internet access requires a package, but the peace and quiet comes included.

Take a thoughtful turn around The Art Gallery by Clarendon Fine Art on Deck 5, where more than 200 works bring 20th century and contemporary art to sea. The selection changes during your cruise, so it is worth popping back.

Art seminars are held on most sea days, and you can arrange a private consultation if a piece catches your eye. Visit early to sign up for invitations to VIP events and artwork unveilings.

Keep your routine ticking over at The Gym and Fitness Studio on Aqua Deck, Deck 16. You have a fully equipped gym with treadmills and weights, so sea days need not become entirely horizontal.

Complimentary classes are designed for different abilities and led by expert trainers. Check the onboard timetable, as the programme varies by cruise.

Whether you have forgotten sunscreen or fancy a little browse, Azura's shops cover fragrances, fashion, jewellery, swimwear, souvenirs and spirits. The retail area is spread across Decks 5, 6 and 7, with Deck 7 around the Atrium and The Glass House.

The 2025 refit added an Elemis skincare space. Keep an eye on Horizon or My P&O Cruises if you would like to join a tasting class, demonstration or one-to-one consultation.

Found on Deck 7, the Prom Deck, The Photo Gallery is where you can browse the candid shots and portraits captured around the ship. Touchscreens let you view your photographs whenever it suits you, with no obligation to buy.
