Festival brings summer music festival spirit to Iona’s Headliners Theatre on decks 6 and 7. Follow two groups of friends as they meet among the tents, wellies and big, feel-good anthems.

Take a seat for Greatest Days: The Official Take That Musical, a feel-good story of five friends reunited 25 years after their teenage years. Expect friendship, nostalgia and songs including Back for Good, Shine and Rule the World.

You will find it in the two-deck Headliners Theatre on Decks 6 and 7, with its large LED backdrop. Check the onboard programme for performance times during your sailing.

Centre Stage brings contemporary musical theatre to Iona's Headliners Theatre, with a little touch of West End magic and a seriously impressive LED backdrop.

Turn up the tempo at Ignite, an upbeat party-starter held in Iona’s SkyDome across decks 16 and 17. A laser show meets a DJ set produced by Alex James, giving your evening a proper pulse.

SkyDome swaps poolside calm for a night-time entertainment space, so bring your dancing shoes, metaphorical or otherwise. Check My Holiday for available entertainment bookings, or attend on a walk-up basis where no booking is needed.

Swap poolside calm for a proper rock night in Iona's SkyDome. Pulse, the resident house band, joins the Headliners Theatre Company for electric guitars, prominent drums and tracks associated with Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and more.

It takes place after dark across Decks 16 and 17, when the glass-covered SkyDome turns its attention from the pool to the stage. Bring your best air guitar.

Creativiva brings live visual shows to Iona, mixing acrobatics, aerial acts, physical theatre, dance and music. It is the sort of entertainment that makes you look up from your drink and wonder how on earth they did that.

Catch Triboo in the SkyDome, where two tribes face off beneath the glass roof on Decks 16 and 17. For something altogether more surreal, Dream appears in the Grand Atrium, blurring magic and reality.

Spread across decks 6, 7 and 8, The Grand Atrium is your bright, glass-walled meeting point with panoramic sea views. Settle in for live music, comedy, games or aerial acrobatics, then let the changing light and sound set the mood.

Pop by for a quiet coffee or stay for a pop-up performance. Entry is included, while drinks and treats from Vistas Café Bar or cocktails from Emerald Bar are additional.

Whether you fancy a few lengths or a proper lounge, Iona has four pools to choose from, three outdoors and one indoors, plus 18 whirlpool spas. Crystal Pool sits beneath the glass roof of SkyDome on Deck 16, so a swim need not depend on the weather playing nicely.

For sea views, head aft to the Infinity Pool on Deck 16, beside the Infinity Bar. If you need the pool hoist and chair, arrange use with Reception at least 24 hours ahead.

Fancy a little friendly competition between sea days? Iona’s games-related entertainment brings the fun without requiring you to take it terribly seriously.

Try Wavelength, an included interactive gameshow, or head to Brodie’s for quizzes and live sport. It is a good excuse to swap lounging for a spot of team spirit, then return to lounging with a clear conscience.

Fancy a few steps between sea days? On Iona, dancing comes with line-dancing classes, silent discos and live bands, so you can join in at your own pace.

Head to venues such as The Club House when you fancy a turn around the floor. No need to know every step, enthusiasm does a perfectly decent job.

Ocean Studios is Iona’s four-screen cinema complex on Deck 6, made for settling into comfortable seating and catching a film on the big screen. Recent superhero hits or timeless classics, take your pick.

Screenings run throughout the day, so you can fit one around whatever else takes your fancy. Admission is included, while popcorn, ice cream and cinema snacks are available to buy.

Scene is Iona’s dedicated space for ages 13 to 17, on Deck 6 beside the Headliners Theatre. It is a proper teen hangout, with gaming technology, table tennis and a programme built for making the most of time at sea.

You might find computer games, discos or quizzes, with karaoke, movie nights and sports deck activities also reported. Youth club staff supervise the space, so teens can get on with the fun while you enjoy some time your way.

The Reef on Deck 17 gives younger guests their own proper holiday agenda, from soft play and puppet shows to arts, crafts, discos and karaoke. Activities are arranged by age, from Nursery through to the teen Scene.

Find a quieter corner of Iona at Anderson’s Bar and Library on Deck 6, the Gala Deck. There is a large collection of books waiting for you, whether you fancy a few pages between plans or a proper afternoon lost in a story.

Borrow as many books as you can read for your cruise, or use the computers to browse the web and keep in touch. Your to be read pile has finally met its match.

Take a cultured turn around The Art Gallery by Clarendon Fine Art on Deck 6, beside the Grand Atrium. You can browse a changing collection of more than 200 works, with 20th century and contemporary masters in the mix.

Art consultants host seminars and exhibitions, so you can learn a little before deciding whether a piece deserves wall space at home. Artwork is available to buy, should something catch your eye.

Raise a glass to the science of gin. This guided tasting and talk lets you explore a selection of fine gins with gin experts, including P&O Cruises’ own Marabelle Gin and Salcombe Gin favourites.

You can also watch gin being made on board, thanks to Columba, Iona’s still in Anderson’s Bar on Deck 6. Marabelle is made with 18 selected botanicals, so there is plenty to ponder between sips.

At Anderson’s Bar on Deck 6, you can get hands-on with Iona’s gin still, Columba, and create a blend with guidance from a gin specialist. It is part science, part good taste, with no lab coat required.

Choose from a variety of gin blends and infusions to make your own bespoke bottle, then take your finished creation home. A rather better souvenir than a fridge magnet.

The Oasis Spa and Salon is where you can swap your sightseeing plans for a massage, facial or couples treatment. Spread across Decks 5 and 6, it also offers hairdressing, barber services and acupuncture, because a sea day can be put to very good use.

Treatments carry an extra charge, and advance booking is recommended. Reserve through My P&O Cruises until three days before your holiday, then book on board.

When the sea air has done its job, take your relaxation up a notch in Iona's Thermal Suite. On Deck 5 in the forward spa and fitness complex, you can move between the hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam rooms and heated loungers.

It is adults-only territory for independent use, so leave the schedule outside and let the warmth do the rest.

A sea day is a fine excuse for a fresh blowout. Part of the Oasis Spa and Salon on Deck 6, the Hair Salon has expert stylists on hand for cuts, colouring and glamorous evening hairstyles.

A proper grooming stop within The Oasis Spa and Salon on Deck 5. Choose a classic haircut, settle in for a deep-cleansing shave, or explore contemporary grooming treatments.

It is classic style with the ship's polish, ideal for sharpening up before dinner or simply giving your holiday look a tidy-up. You can book through My P&O Cruises before you sail, then on board closer to departure.

The Gym and Fitness Studio on Deck 5 gives you room to keep your routine moving at sea. Use the treadmills, rowing machines and free weights, whether you are a regular gym-goer or simply balancing out the buffet.

There is also a separate studio for spinning, Pilates and yoga, with a selection of fitness classes included in your fare. Exercise, then carry on with your holiday feeling smugly virtuous.

Keep your sea days moving with complimentary group classes led by expert trainers in Iona’s Oasis Gym and Studio on Deck 5. You can choose from options that have included indoor cycling, Pilates, yoga and boxing, depending on the sailing.

The gym is open daily from 8am to 8pm. Pack training shoes and fitness clothing, then swap the shoes for bare feet if you are heading to yoga, meditation or Pilates.

The Photo Hub on Deck 7 is where you can make more of those candid shipboard moments and personalised portraits. Pop in to explore P&O Cruises’ photography options, including Eyeconic images that turn your iris into a detailed piece of art.

Fancy taking centre stage? Private photo sessions last around 30 to 45 minutes, followed by a viewing with the photographer so you can choose the images you want to keep.
