Your floating resort

The Mariner of the Seas cruise ship is one of Royal Caribbean's second generation Voyager class ships. She has a twin sister, the Navigator of the Seas, and went through a very extensive renovation project in 2014. Her godmother is the American Paralympic athlete, Jean Driscoll.

The newly added features and activities are really impressive and include a Sky Pad virtual reality trampoline, a Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade, and two FlowRider surf simulators. They also added forty more cabins as well as new dining venues, which gave this 15-year-old ship that all-important popular new ship feel.

Main Dining Room

The Mariner of the Seas' main dining room include three separate restaurants on decks three, four and five. It's incredibly airy and beautiful and had a musical theme. Most tables are set for either four, six or eight guests.

It opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and lunch are a la carte, while dinner has two seatings, the main one being at 6:30 PM and the late one happening at 9 PM. If those times don't work for you, you can opt for Royal Caribbean's My Time Dining feature, which allows you to book a table for anywhere between 6 PM and 9:30 PM. While reservations are needed, its not difficult to get a table for your preferred time.
