The Grandeur of the Seas is a Royal Caribbean Vision-class cruise ship, which features fantastic bars and restaurants, a full-service spa, several pools and six whirlpools, as well as and outdoor jogging track for fitness enthusiasts. She was built back in 1996 and received a major refurbishment in 2012, when they added more restaurants and better cabins.

Affectionately known as Lady G, she home ports at Baltimore and often draws guests back for a second and third time because of the ship's smaller size, personable crew and diverse itineraries. The Grandeur of the Seas even has its own Facebook fan page.

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is the Grandeur's main dining room, which opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It spans decks four and five and can seat up to 1,039 people. They have vegetarian options and a special kids' menu for those who don't want to eat off the 'normal' menu.

Breakfast is served on deck four with open seating from 8.00 AM to 9.30 AM. There is a Brasserie 30-minute lunch from noon to 1.00 PM on deck four. Deck four has two main dinner seatings at 5.30 PM and 8.00 PM or you can make use of the convenient My Time Dining feature on deck five, which allows you to book a table anywhere between 5.30 PM and 9.00 PM.

Izumi

Izumi is the ship's Sushi bar and Asian food restaurant, which charges a la carte pricing. You will find it on deck eleven, and they offer some incredible sea views as well as a bar where you can sit and watch the chefs at work. It opens from noon to 1:30 PM and dinner is from 5:30 PM to 9 PM. The restaurant was added during the 2012 refurbishment and this is reflected in its modern zen-like dÃ©cor and atmosphere.

Room Service

And if you're having a relaxing day in your cabin, why not make use of the Grandeur of the Seas' room service. Do note that while it's usually a complimentary service, they have a surcharge between midnight and 5 AM. You will find the menu in your state room and you can order whatever you'd like via the interactive TV service or simply via your cabin's phone.

Bars and Lounges

Schooner Bar

If you prefer a more sedate and relaxed pre or post-dinner drink, you will enjoy the Schooner Bar. Here, it's all about the musicians, with jazz and piano tunes being played every night. You'll find it outside the Anthem's theatre. It is on deck six and seats 133 people.

Cafe Latte-tudes

This coffee bar is perfect for getting your caffeine fix as well as enjoying some of the free cookies, pastries and cakes available. They have a range of Starbucks favourites on offer and charges per cup. It's located next to Ben and Jerry's and is open from 7 AM to 11 PM daily.

The R Bar

This cocktail bar is on deck 4, seats up to 43 guests and has a sixties vibe. It has beautiful decorations in gold and purple and have some brilliant classic cocktails on offer made by the ship's resident expert mixologist. Go for a classic martini, vodka or gin cocktail or explore their menu for some more exotic choices. It's a great place to sit back and enjoy some people watching or taking in the activities in the Centrum, and if you're feeling lively, joining in the dancing fun.

South Pacific Lounge

The refurbished and airy South Pacific Lounge is located on deck 6 and seats 328 people. It has its own bar; dance floor and stage and its big windows offer plenty views of the ocean. Simply relax with a drink or take part in one the many activities which include sing-alongs, Bingo, karaoke, Champagne Art Auctions, ballroom dancing and the adult-only Battle of the Sexes Game Show.

Theatre

The Palladium theatre spans decks five and six and can seat up to 870 guests. It's a fantastically beautiful and grand room with the latest in cutting edge audio and visual technology. It offers excellent nightly entertainment including singers and dancers, comedians and musical stage productions.

Casino Royale

The adult only 282-seat Casino Royale can be found on deck 5. It gets busy at night but there's plenty of space for everyone. It has a plethora of exciting slot machines and several gaming tables, including blackjack, roulette, craps, and Caribbean stud poker. They have complimentary gaming sessions where new players can learn the ropes and have paid-for tournaments as well. Smoking is permitted in the casino.

Adventure Ocean Programme

Royal Caribbean's complimentary Adventure Ocean Programme is available for kids aged 3 to 17. Note that the very little ones must be toilet trained to take part. The kids programme is subdivided into age appropriate groups called Aquanauts, Explorers, Voyagers, Navigators and Teens.

They also have a nursery for babies and tots between the age of six and thirty-six months. They have trained professionals on hand and charges an hourly rate per child.
