Enchanted Princess: What’s It Like On Board?

If your idea of a great cruise involves good food, plenty to do, somewhere comfortable to relax and a few spectacular ocean views along the way, find out about the Enchanted Princess onboard experience.

Part of Princess Cruises’ Royal Class fleet, Enchanted Princess combines the familiar elegance of the Princess brand with a generous choice of restaurants, entertainment, bars and places to unwind. Whether you prefer a busy day exploring the ship or spending an afternoon doing absolutely nothing by the pool, there’s plenty of choice.

So, what can you expect when you step on board?

Getting to Know Enchanted Princess

Enchanted Princess entered service in 2020 and is a sizeable ship, measuring approximately 330 metres in length and weighing around 134,700 gross tonnes.

She can accommodate around 3,660 guests, looked after by a crew of approximately 1,346. Despite those numbers, the ship offers plenty of different spaces, giving you the opportunity to find your own favourite corner.

One of the standout features is the SeaWalk, a glass-floored walkway that extends out over the side of the ship. If you enjoy a good view, this is certainly one to seek out. Walking above the ocean gives you a rather different perspective, particularly when the sea is stretching out beneath your feet.

Around 80% of the ship’s cabins also feature balconies, giving guests the chance to enjoy their own private outdoor space.

Dining on Enchanted Princess: Plenty to Choose From

Food is a fairly important part of any cruise holiday, and Enchanted Princess offers a good mix of included dining options and speciality restaurants.

Main Dining Rooms

The ship has three main dining rooms: Amalfi, Capri and Santorini. These serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu featuring international dishes and familiar favourites.

Expect traditional cruise dining options alongside dishes such as Beef Wellington, seafood and tempting desserts. You can choose a traditional dining time or opt for a more flexible approach, depending on availability.

International Café

Located near the Piazza, the International Café is a handy stop when you fancy something lighter.

It serves pastries, sandwiches, salads and other snacks throughout the day and night. It’s particularly useful when you want a quick bite without committing to a full restaurant meal.

Crown Grill

If you fancy something a little more special on your Enchanted Princess onboard experience, Crown Grill is the ship’s steakhouse.

Expect premium cuts of beef, steaks, chops and seafood, served in a more traditional steakhouse setting. It’s a good option for a special evening, although speciality dining comes with an additional charge.

Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria

Italian food at sea? Hardly a difficult decision.

Sabatini’s serves Italian-inspired dishes, including handmade pasta, seafood and slow-cooked meats. It’s another speciality dining option worth considering if you fancy making an evening of it.

The Catch by Rudi

Seafood fans may want to put The Catch by Rudi towards the top of their list.

Created by chef Rudi Sodamin, the restaurant focuses on seafood dishes, with options ranging from lobster and seafood platters to more elaborate creations. There’s also the opportunity to enjoy dishes prepared tableside.

And if you fancy something a little different, 360: An Extraordinary Experience offers a seven-course Mediterranean dining journey, combining food with immersive visuals and sound.

Just remember that some restaurants and dining experiences carry an additional charge, so check what’s included in your fare before booking.

Bars and Lounges: Somewhere for Every Occasion

Whether you’re after a pre-dinner cocktail, live music or somewhere to settle in for the evening, Enchanted Princess has a varied selection of bars and lounges.

Crooners brings a touch of old-school glamour, with piano entertainment and classic cocktails. It’s a good place to enjoy a drink while listening to live music.

Bellini’s overlooks the Piazza and is a natural meeting point before dinner or an evening out. As the name suggests, it’s a good place to enjoy a sparkling drink.

O’Malley’s Irish Pub offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with pub-style food, drinks and entertainment.

There’s also Good Spirits At Sea, where cocktails take inspiration from flavours and destinations around the world. If you enjoy watching the bartenders work their magic, this one should be on your list.

Entertainment: Your Evenings Are Sorted

There’s no shortage of things to do once the sun starts to go down.

The Princess Theatre hosts large-scale productions, live performances, comedy and other entertainment throughout the cruise. The programme varies by sailing, so it’s worth checking what’s on once you’re on board.

Princess Live! offers a different kind of entertainment, with game shows, demonstrations, live performances and interactive events.

One of the ship’s best-known features is Movies Under the Stars. Grab a seat on the open deck, settle down with some complimentary popcorn and enjoy a film, concert or sporting event on the giant outdoor screen.

For something a little different, the Vista Show Lounge also hosts performances and entertainment throughout the cruise.

And if you enjoy a bit of friendly competition, there’s a casino on board too.

Keeping Active and Finding Time to Relax

Not every day at sea within your Enchanted Princess onboard experience needs to involve a sun lounger and a cocktail. Although, to be fair, that’s a perfectly reasonable option.

Enchanted Princess has a fitness centre with cardio equipment, weights and a selection of fitness classes. There’s also a sports court where guests can enjoy activities such as basketball and volleyball.

If relaxation is more your thing, the Lotus Spa offers a range of treatments, including massages and facials. The Enclave provides additional relaxation facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool and heated stone beds.

For a quieter poolside experience, The Sanctuary is an adults-only retreat on the upper deck. It offers a more peaceful place to relax away from the busier areas of the ship. Access and services may carry an additional charge.

Is Enchanted Princess Good for Families?

Enchanted Princess has facilities for younger guests as well as adults, making it an option worth considering for a family cruise.

Camp Discovery is split into age-specific areas, with activities for younger children and a separate space for teenagers. The programme includes games, crafts, films and social activities, giving younger guests the chance to make friends while parents enjoy some time to themselves.

The ship also has swimming pools, sports facilities, family entertainment and Movies Under the Stars.

As with any cruise, it’s worth checking the children’s programme and age requirements for your particular sailing before booking.

Is Enchanted Princess Worth Considering?

Enchanted Princess brings together many of the features that make Princess Cruises popular: a good choice of dining, a varied entertainment programme, comfortable accommodation and plenty of places to relax.

It’s a ship that offers flexibility. You can spend your day trying different restaurants, catching a show or making the most of the facilities, or simply find a quiet spot and watch the world go by.

The mix of speciality dining, entertainment, family facilities and more peaceful adult spaces means there’s something to suit different types of holidaymaker.
