Celebrity Solstice is a Celebrity Cruises ship, which was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. She is the lead ship of the Solstice-class of cruise ships and her sister ships include the second ship of the class, Celebrity Equinox; and the third ship of the class, Celebrity Eclipse.

The fourth ship, Celebrity Silhouette, sailed on her Maiden Voyage on 23 July 2011; and the fifth and final ship is the Celebrity Reflection.

The Celebrity Solstice registers at 122 000 gross tonnage and can carry up to 2 850 guests at double occupancy. She was the first post-Panamax cruise ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet and was christened by ocean scientist Professor Sharon L Smith at a ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, in November 2008.

Grand Epernay Main Dining Room

The ship's main dining room spans decks three and four and is located at the aft end of the ship. The room is bright and light with tasteful decor and some extravagant pieces such as a two-story glass wine tower, complete with ladders to help the staff reach bottles at the highest levels.

The restaurant feels spacious and uncrowded and there is always a table available in five minutes or less. Some of the meal options are always available and they identify the vegetarian and healthier options on their menu. They serve dinner in the traditional seating style and you can choose either the 6 pm slot or the 8:30 pm one. They also have a select flexible dining option which means you can have your dinner at any time between 5:30 pm and 9 pm.

Luminae Dining Room

This Dining room on deck three for is exclusive to guests staying in suite accommodations. Its an intimate restaurant, which opens for breakfast and dinner daily, and for lunch on sea days. It's decorated to fit in with the Celebrity Solstice's sun theme and has plenty of natural light. The dishes are of a much higher standard than those in the main dining room and the service is superb.

Luminae is open is open from 8 am to 9.30 am for breakfast, noon to 1.30 pm for lunch and 5.45 pm to 9:30 pm for dinner.

Oceanview Cafe

This multi station buffet on deck fourteen, opens for open seating casual breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is one of the best buffets at sea, being spacious, uncrowded, and offering an extensive number of choices.

Breakfast is served until 11 am, pizza, pasta and ice cream are available from 12 pm to 1 am, and they always have Coffee, tea and juices available from their 24/7 self-serve dispensers.

This bar located on deck three, alongside the guest relations and shore excursions desks. It's a great spot for people watching and watching the nightly entertainment in the Grand Foyer.

Ensemble Bar

Ensemble Bar

This bar, with its sultry lighting and comfortable seats, is located on deck five. It's close to all the speciality restaurants o the same deck and is a great spot for pre or post dinner drinks. The ambience varies from quiet and romantic at times to very lively and busy at others. It all depends on the time of day you visit and what kind of musical entertainment they are offering at that time.

Michael's Club

Michael's Club is a piano bar situated on deck five, famous for its intimate atmosphere and incredible range of drinks. It's the perfect spot to relax and unwind while sampling their selection of over 64 international craft beers, scotch, fine whisky, bourbon and cognac. All of this while enjoying the live music, which includes live piano and guitar musicians. They also have a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available on request as well as a dedicated concierge to help arrange specialty dining, shore excursions and the like.

Guests should bring their A-game to this new, elevated sports bar, the perfect place to both watch and play games. Guests can catch their favourite sports teams from multiple screens positioned so well they’ll never miss a pass; or challenge their friends to a round of billiards, darts, or their favourite retro board game.

Solstice Theatre

This is the Celebrity Solstice's main show lounge, which was well designed in semi-circular rows to ensure good views across the room. It doesn't offer tables, but their comfortable seats offer drink holders. You can expect around three large production stage shows during a seven-night cruise. One of which would be a stadium style concert featuring iconic rock anthems while the other 2 are production shows showcasing the Celebrity Solstice's star aerialists. They also have other types of shows, such as welcome and farewell shows, jugglers, comedians and more.

Silent Disco

Silent Disco

Don’t miss this great dancing event, which usually takes place once or twice each cruise. You will find it around the Martini Bar, where tables and chairs will be removed to make an impromptu dance floor. It’s worth showing up a bit early to get one of the best glowing sets of head phones, which you can use to choose one from three different kinds of music available to dance to.

Celebrity Central

This is the ship's secondary theatre venue, which is located on deck four. Here, movie fans can watch feature films of the new-to-DVD variety. The venue also hosts events like bingo and game shows during the day.
