The spectacularly outstanding Norwegian Escape is the first ship in the Norwegian Cruise Line's Breakaway Plus Class. It starts from the first impression as the hull art, done by renowned artist Guy Harvey, is an impressive display of wildlife spanning more than 1000 feet. And that just gives you some clue of the flamboyant new delights that lay await onboard.

The Manhattan Room

This great main dining room is based on deck seven and is the largest of their three free offerings. It's a very spacious restaurant split over two levels and decorated with light wood, blues and creams. This is one of our favourite places for dinner as you often get to see a complimentary dancing show while enjoying your meal. It is a dinner only restaurant and opens between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

Taste and Savor Main Dining Rooms

These two restaurants can be found on deck six and is situated across from each other. Although they share the same menu, the decor and style are a bit different. They provide some great spaces to suit every need, whether you want to be among the crowds, have a semi-private area, or even book a private room. Food on board the Norwegian Escape gets very close to fine dining experiences and their service is outstanding.

O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar and Grill

Norwegian Escape's Irish inspired pub is divided into two areas, a small dining section as well as a bigger bar area, both areas sharing the same menu. A great insider tip is to head here for breakfast, as its much quieter than the other crowded breakfast areas on board. They do some lovely breakfast including made to order omelettes, French toast and oatmeal. O'Sheehan's serves food and drink 24 hours a day.

Garden Cafe

The lovely Garden Cafe buffet is on deck sixteen. They serve daily breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as having some evening snacks available. While there's plenty of space available, the seats become much busier during their peak hours that range from 8 to 9:30 am on port days and noon to 1 pm for lunch on sea days.

The Haven restaurant

For cruisers staying in a suite in the Haven complex, this pretty restaurant has a more refined menu than the other main dining rooms. It opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also caters for vegetarians as well as those with special diet requirements. The food here is top class and the service is impeccable.

Margaritaville at Sea

This lovely a la carte restaurant is located on deck 17. It was designed for Norwegian Cruises by Jimmy Buffet and is the first of its kind at sea. It's a sunny and cheery outdoor restaurant that open daily, providing the weather plays along. They have some sun cover for those seeking a bit of shade and offers good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It includes a Chill bar, where you can try lots of mouth-watering cocktails such as a classic, watermelon or jalapeno margarita or simply grab a cold beer. Simply order your food and or drinks and wait for your buzzer to go off to go and collect it.

Teppanyaki

This intimate Japanese dining venue only serves a small number of guests at any one time, so reservations come highly recommended. This unique restaurant allows you to see Japanese hibachi meals cooked in front of you by chefs performing tricks with the food and their cooking utensils.

Le Bistro

This remarkable restaurant has classically French decor and stylish seating. It has some of the best French cuisine available ranging from appetisers, soups and salads to meats and seafood, and some classic desserts such as Apple Tatin and Creme Brulee.

Cagney's Steakhouse

Cagney's is an a la carte restaurant with a traditional thirties steak house feel. Some of the menu highlights include: several steak cuts along with lamb, veal and pork chops; surf and turf; grilled yellowfin tuna steak, grilled salmon, jumbo shrimp skewers and a fried fisherman's platter.

Moderno Churrascaria

This delightful South American restaurant has an a la carte menu and opens daily for dinner. It is located on deck eight and operates on a red and green card system. If you haven't seen this before it means that if you pick green, the waiters will keep offering you tasty skewers of barbecued meats which is carved at your table and once you are full, you simply indicate your red card to stop service. It is a real treat and comes highly recommended to meat lovers.

Bayamo

Iron Chef Jose Garces brings his Latin-inspired dishes to Escape, with signature plates such as lobster served with a spicy tomato sauce over rice and Wagyu sirloin with potatoes and beet sauce. Bayamo also includes alfresco seating on The Waterfront. Dinner is served from 5:30 pm to 10 pm.

Food Republic

Food Republic was created in partnership with The Pubbelly Restaurant Group and is a big hit with guests. They serve tapas-sized dishes from around the world, with an emphasis on Asian cuisine. The menu has seven separate sections for sushi; hand held foods, the grill republic, sharing plates, noodles, rice and soups, dumplings, and the sugar pump for desserts.

Pincho Tapas Bar

Pincho Tapas Bar is a casual tapas bar, adjacent to Bayamo. Dishes like calamari and imported ham are prepared on an authentic la plancha grill, tableside, as diners watch.

La Cucina

This brilliant a la carte dining venue offers fantastic Italian food like pizza and pasta, fresh salads, Italian desserts, great wine and Italian drinks like espresso and cappuccinos to round off your meal. Children are welcome and those under the age of twelve can eat for free from the normal kid's menu.

Bars and Lounges

The Sugarcane Mojito Bar

You will find this cosy and exciting little bar next to the Bayamo Restaurant on deck eight. As the name suggest, it specialises in yummy mojitos and rum-based cocktails. The Sugarcane Mojito offers both indoor and outdoor seating, along with several tempting drink selections on the menu. Mojito fans will find every possible kind of Mojito available here, some of which you probably didn't know existed!

The District Brew House

Beer lovers will certainly enjoy sampling some of the many varieties of beer at this great venue. This urban craft beer hall was designed for the Norwegian Cruise Line by the Wynwood Brewing Company of Miami. They have their own keg room and offers more than fifty bottled beers as well as 24 draft beers on tap.

Mixx Bar

This lovely bar is located between Taste and Savor, and it's used almost exclusively for pre-dinner drinks, to get everyone in the mood to start their evening of great food and entertainment.

Prime Meridian

This compass-shaped bar on deck eight has stylish dÃ©cor with some unique touches. It has lion heads carved into the panelling and gold signs encircling the bar designating latitudes and longitudes of glamorous destinations like Madrid and Casablanca. It's open from 5 pm til late and is a great place to grab a pre or post dinner drink.

The Cellars Wine Bar

This the perfect spot to enjoy an incredible glass of vino. They offer daily interactive educational wine seminars and tastings, as well as four different types of wine flights. They also have delicious tapas available during dinner times, to help line your stomach.

Tobacco Road Liquor Bar

This is a nod to the land-based bar that was once Miami's oldest bar but have sadly closed down since. The decor is lush, the leather couches are comfortable, and the bar has an air of sophistication. Be sure to try one of their exquisite speciality cocktails.

5 O' Clock Somewhere Bar

This cheekily named bar is part of the iconic Jimmy Buffet's franchise. It's decorated with a South Florida/Caribbean theme and it has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It exudes a laid-back vibe, both indoors and outdoors on The Waterfront.

Activities & Entertainment

Theatre

The Escape Theatre is ideal for people looking for stellar entertainment and variety. The venue spans two deck, decks six and seven, and is beautifully decorated with shades of blue and neon lights. It has some brilliant Broadway-quality performances, in the form of 2 shows "For the Record: The Brat Pack" and "After Midnight". The performances are pitch perfect and some of the best entertainment available at sea.

Escape Casino

This is the biggest casino in the Norwegian fleet and among the biggest at sea. NCL is planning to have a smoking and non-smoking section in the casino, so that non-smokers can also enjoy their games in fresh air. They have daily gaming lessons for those wanting to improve their games and they serve up a buffet if you want to snack without leaving your game behind.

Vibe Beach Club

Deck 19 is home to the exclusive adults-only sun deck that offers privacy, along with comfy loungers, chilled towels, water spritzers, fruit skewers, a bar and an oversized hot tub. You can gain access to this area by paying a daily or weekly fee and it comes recommended to couples who are travelling without children or parents looking for a bit of solitude.

Spa

The spa, with its panoramic ocean views, spans two decks fifteen and sixteen forward. The Mandara Spa offers several treatment rooms, a thermal suite and salt room, as well as a full-service salon and barber shop. Allow yourself to be pampered by some of the best spa treatments available.

Fitness Centre

The gym features TechnoGym equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, bikes and free weights. Fitness staff offer world class personal training and group fitness classes, some of which are charged for.

Family Friendly Fun

A cruise can be a great way for families to reconnect, so you should consider joining in the fun some days. They offer plenty activities that families can enjoy together like their bright arcade on deck seventeen, where you can play sports, racing or Star Wars games with a swipe of your guest card. You can also try the Family Circus event, where young and old can get together to practice your big-top hijinks, ranging from learning to juggle, stunt sticks and feather balancing. And if you have a teenager who is â€˜too cool for kids club' they have their own facility on deck seventeen.

Aqua Parks

All NCL Breakaway Class ships have five extraordinary multi-story waterslides. Take the plunge on Free Fall and drop at the speed of 4Gs. Feel the rush of The Whip, two racing side-by-side twister slides that are wet and wild. Or try the family fun slide if that's more your speed. Please note that kids must be toilet trained to use the aqua park.

Sports Complex

Recreational activities on deck eighteen consists of a nine-hole mini-golf course, an urban oasis with concrete-like turf and spray-painted water towers and walls. The sports court on deck nineteen has a full-size basketball court, Ping-Pong bocce, and other outdoor games. These activities are weather dependent.

Kids' Clubs

The Norwegian Escape has a kid's club called the Splash Academy, which takes up most of deck five. It is a drop-off service for kids between the ages of three and twelve and has a separate room for babies and toddlers, called the Guppies Nursery. The teen facility is on deck seventeen.
