Grand Princess is a Princess Cruises ship, which was built in 1998 by Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani in Monfalcone, Italy. She is a Grand-class ship and was the most expensive and biggest passenger ship ever built at the time. She was the Princess Cruises flagship until the new Royal Princess took that title in June 2013.

The ship is known for its comfortable elegance, dazzling entertainment, and tantalizing dining options. Princess Cruises has done a great job of keeping the Grand Princess updated. It had its atrium converted into a modern new piazza, and they have added great new venues such as the very exclusive adult only Sanctuary area. They didn't forget about the kids, however, as their kids club, Camp Discovery was updated along with a partnership with the Discovery TV network.

Botticelli

This traditional dining main dining room allows guests to have a traditional sit-down meal at either one of two seatings, the early seating being at 6 PM and the late one at 8:15 PM. It also offers anytime dining options from 5.30pm. It forms part of the Grand Princess' three main dining rooms, which all share the same four course dinner. The option of an 'always available menu' is also provided including steaks, chicken breast and salmon.

Da Vinci

The Da Vinci Dining Room on the Fiesta Deck (6) is open for breakfast, served between 7.30 am and 9.30 am, afternoon tea from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm and Princess' Anytime Seating Option for dinner from 7.30 pm to 10 pm. They have vegetarian options available such as pasta dishes as well as some Lotus Spa healthy options.

Michelangelo

This dinner only flexible dining main dining room can be found on the Plaza (5th) deck. You can choose when you would like to eat between the hours of 5:30 PM and 10 PM. There are some tables for two available but please note that these are very popular so you either must show up early or book if you want to have one.

Crown Grill

This select dining venue has a cover charge and opens for dinner daily. You will find it on deck seven, the Promenade deck, and it seats up to 160 guests. It opens between 6:30 PM and 11 PM and reservations are recommended. The menu has some great premium items such as exclusive appetizers, beef and seafood as well as some special desserts.

Trident Grill

The burger bar is on deck 14, the Lido deck, and is conveniently located to serve the Neptune's Reef and Pool area. It's a great place to have an informal lunch and dishes range from freshly cooked hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs and fries to vegetarian options.

Reserve Collection Restaurant

Save your appetite for something extraordinary at Reserve Collection Restaurant on Grand Princess, the ship’s intimate specialty dining venue where chef-curated tasting menus and sommelier-led wine pairings turn dinner into a culinary event. In a quietly elegant dining room you’ll enjoy multi-course menus that spotlight seasonal, premium ingredients, from delicate seafood and artful small plates to perfectly cooked mains and inventive vegetarian options, each plate delivered with refined attention to detail and guest-first service.

International Cafe

Let the promenade set the tone for your day at International Cafe on Grand Princess, the go-to spot for specialty coffee lovers and anyone who appreciates a proper espresso with a sea view. This bright, welcoming cafe pours expertly pulled espressos, silky cappuccinos and single-origin brews alongside flaky pastries, creamy gelato and made-to-order panini, perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast, a leisurely mid-morning pit stop or a pre-show caffeine boost.

Coffee and Cones

Sweeten your promenade stroll at Coffee & Cones on Grand Princess, the cheerful grab-and-go spot that pairs artisan coffee with creamy gelato and irresistible ice cream treats. Expect expertly pulled espressos, frothy cappuccinos and iced coffees alongside rotating gelato flavours, indulgent sundaes, milkshakes and flaky pastries, perfect for a pre-excursion pick-me-up, an after-dinner treat or a family-friendly sugar fix.

The Salty Dog Grill

Craving poolside perfection with zero fuss? Head straight to The Salty Dog Grill on Grand Princess, the lively poolside grill where flame-grilled burgers, loaded fries, hearty sandwiches and creamy milkshakes turn quick meals into holiday highlights. Located on the Lido deck with plenty of alfresco seating and sea views, Salty Dog is ideal for post-excursion refuels, family lunches or a casual bite between shows. Alfredo's Pizzeria

When the crust craving hits, make a beeline for Alfredo's Pizzeria on Grand Princess, the promenade favourite that turns simple pizza into a holiday highlight. Crab Shack

Prepare for a gloriously messy seafood party at Crab Shack on Grand Princess, the specialty seafood restaurant that turns dinner into a hands-on celebration of ocean flavor. Bars and Lounges

Vines Wine Bar

This lovely wine bar can be found on deck 5 at the Plaza, and it opens daily from 11 AM to 11 PM. They serve an exciting mix of new and old-world wines and you can choose whether you want to buy a glass or take part in a wine tasting. They don't serve sushi and tapas like the other Vine Wine Bars on Princess cruises but do offer wine and food pairing events.

Leaves Tea Lounge and Library

For something a bit different, this tea lounge and library is a lovely place to relax and take part in some enjoyable activities, such as their daily morning quiz, building a jigsaw puzzle or taking part in the games available.

Wheelhouse Bar

The Wheelhouse Bar can be found on the Promenade deck and is beautifully decorated in wooden panelling as well as ship themed model and art work. If you like country and western music, you don't want to miss their live musical entertainment.

Good Spirits at Sea

Turn your holiday into a hands-on happy hour with Good Spirits at Sea on Grand Princess, Princess Cruises' signature mixology class that teaches you how to shake, stir and muddle like a pro. In a lively, guest-first session led by expert mixologists you build and taste a flight of signature cocktails, learn bar techniques and pick up recipe cards to recreate the magic back home.

Crooners

Slip into a velvet seat and let the keys do the talking at Crooners on Grand Princess, the intimate piano bar where live music, singalongs and perfectly mixed cocktails turn ordinary nights into headline moments. Expect talented pianists and vocalists spinning requests, a curated wine list and premium spirits poured with polished, guest-first service that makes every pre-dinner aperitif or late-night nightcap feel special.

Activities & Entertainment

Princess Theatre

This theatre is the Grand Princess' largest entertainment venue, spanning across decks six and seven. During the day, you can attend seminars, demonstrations and various workshops held here. And it truly comes alive at night with the ship's productions shows, singers, entertainers and comedians lighting up the stage.

Grand Casino

The ships main casino can be found on the fiesta deck and is only available to passengers over the age of 21. It has its own bar and they offer free beginners' sessions as well as paid for tournaments for more experienced players. Why not try your hand at their great variety of slot machines or join a table game such as poker, roulette or blackjack? Or if you prefer bingo to blackjack, they have very popular daily bingo sessions as well.

The Piazza

The Piazza is situated on the 5th deck was built to look like a European town square and is the central hub of the ship. It has a beautiful marble floor and there is always some form of entertainment available, from musicians to acrobats. It has a 24-hour internet cafe and several bars and restaurants for your enjoyment.

Grand Princess' Family Entertainment

The ship has three kids' clubs, the Princess Pelicans for 3 to 7-year olds, the Shockwaves kids club for 8 to 12-year-olds, and the Remix teens club for 12 to 17-year olds.
