The Royal Princess is a Princess Cruises ship, which was built by Fincantieri at their shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. She became the flagship of the Princess fleet, a designation previously held by the Grand Princess cruise ship. Her sister ship is the Regal Princess.

Construction began in 2011, she was launched in 2012, and was delivered to Princess Cruises in Spring 2013. The ship measures 141,000 gross tonnes and can hold up to 3,600 guests. She also has more dining options the previous Princess vessels. The Duchess of Cambridge named the Royal Princess in a naming ceremony in Southampton on 13 June 2013. The ceremony upheld British ship-naming traditions including the blessing, a performance by the Royal Marines and the pipers of the Irish Guards.

Restaurants

Symphony Dining Room

The Symphony is located on deck five and serves a flexible dinner, which means you can eat any time you like between the hours of 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM. It shares its menu with the Allegro and the Concerto and don't have set table mates or waiters. The room also has a circular wine cellar where up to a dozen guests can enjoy a private dining experience surrounded by shelves full of wine.

Allegro Dining Room

Allegro can be found on the Fiesta deck and is the Royal Princess' only free option for traditional set dinners. You can choose your slot at either 5:45 PM or 8:15 PM and they have five courses available, including appetisers, soup or salad, pasta or entre, main and dessert.

The Allegro also features the Chef's Table Lumiere where you can sit sit at a custom glass table surrounded by white curtains providing privacy for the diners.

Concerto Dining Room

The Concerto can be found forward on the fiesta deck, which opens daily for breakfast, lunch and flexible anytime dinner. Breakfast is usually between 7 AM and 9 AM and lunch is served between noon and 1:30 PM on selected days. This is a great spot to have lunch if you're looking for a quieter experience. It shares its menu with the Allegro and the Symphony and opens for anytime dining dinner between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM. The room also has a circular wine cellar where up to a dozen guests can enjoy a private dining experience surrounded by shelves full of wine.

Crown Grill

This fantastic select dining venue has a cover charge and opens for dinner daily. It opens between 6:30 PM and 11 PM and reservations are recommended as it is popular with guests. The menu has some great premium items such as exclusive appetizers, beef and seafood as well as some special desserts. The room has a club like atmosphere to it and includes live piano entertainment.

Reserve Collection Restaurant

Elevate an evening at sea with the Reserve Collection Restaurant aboard Royal Princess, Princess Cruises' intimate answer to fine dining at sea. This specialty dining venue presents a thoughtfully curated multi-course tasting menu, chef-led creations built from seasonal, premium ingredients and optional expertly matched wine pairings that turn dinner into a culinary journey. Housed in a small, elegant dining room with polished service and refined presentation, the experience is ideal for anniversaries, special celebrations or anyone who wants a serious flavour upgrade from the usual cruise routine.

International cafe

Kickstart your day with a perfect shot at International Cafe on Royal Princess, the promenade espresso bar that turns routine caffeine runs into little holiday rituals. This cosy, welcoming spot serves expertly brewed specialty coffee, silky cappuccinos and single-origin pours alongside flaky pastries, fresh panini and authentic gelato, making it ideal for breakfasts on the go, people-watching with a latte or a pre-show pick-me-up.

Prego Pizzeria

Say hello to Prego Pizzeria on Royal Princess, the promenade pizzeria that proves a great slice can improve any itinerary. This casual, family-friendly spot serves fresh, made-to-order pizza from a blazing stone oven, available by the slice or whole, with classics like Margherita and pepperoni alongside inventive daily specials and solid vegetarian choices. Fast, friendly service makes it ideal for poolside refuels, post-show snacks or late-night cravings, while promenade seating lets you people-watch with a slice in hand.

Trident Grill

When the sea insists you pause sightseeing for something seriously satisfying, head to Trident Grill on Royal Princess. Alfredo's Pizzeria

Crab Shack

Vines Wine and Seafood Bar

This lovely wine bar can be found on deck five at the Plaza, and it open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM. A great tip is that when you buy your drinks, you will be able to enjoy the complimentary tapas and sushi on offer. They serve an exciting mix of new and old-world wines and you can choose whether you want to buy a glass or take part in a wine tasting. It is an ideal spot for some pre or post dinner drinks.

Crooners Lounge and Bar

This piano bar is located midship on deck seven at the Promenade and opens daily from 1 pm onwards. It has the decor and vibe of a classic Martini bar and it offers evening entertainment such as live piano players that take requests or name that tune contests. It overlooks the central Piazza and serves over 75 different martinis.

Wheelhouse Bar

This bar can be found on deck seven at the Promenade and it usually open at around 4 PM. It offers a free traditional British style pub lunch on certain days. It's the perfect spot to enjoy some live music and dancing, as it serves a great selection of drinks as well as live piano entertainment.

Good Spirits at Sea

Lift your cocktail game at Good Spirits at Sea on Royal Princess, the hands-on mixology class that turns curious sippers into confident cocktail creators. In this lively workshop you will learn shaking, stirring and muddling techniques from expert mixologists, craft a flight of signature cocktails, taste as you go and walk away with recipes to impress back home.

Bellini's

Slide into a velvet seat at Bellini's on Royal Princess, the intimate piano lounge where cocktails meet class and your evening instantly feels curated. Think champagne-forward Bellinis, expertly mixed martinis and a refined cocktail list that pairs perfectly with live piano sets and soft conversation. The mood is polished but inviting, ideal for pre-dinner aperitifs, romantic nightcaps or a relaxed pause between shows.

Activities & Entertainment

Princess Theatre

This big venue spans decks six and seven and is the Royal Princess' main theatre. The seating is palladium style and the theatre is deep, so a good tip is to arrive early to find a great seat. Late arrivals often have to sit at the back, which doesn't offer a great view. Coming early will also allow you to order a pre-dinner drink and get comfortable before the show starts. It is also a hub of activity during the day, when they screen movies and host enrichment programmes like their Scholarship@Sea.

Movies Under the Stars

This is a great place for the whole family to enjoy a movie, complete with special touches such as free popcorn, cookies and milks and blankets on chilly evenings. This Movies Under the Stars theatre has a giant outdoor LED screen, perfect to enjoy various concerts, sporting events and movies. You will find it above the sanctuary on the Sports Deck.
