Cabin Bags

You can take ONE small handbag or laptop case that fits comfortably under the seat in front of you. You can also purchase a large cabin bag or case, which are not included in the standard fare and must be added to your booking if required.

The weight limit must not exceed 10kg. Vueling also asks that you can lift it into the overhead locker by yourself.

The maximum size of a cabin bag permitted is 55x40x20 cm, including handles and wheels. Cabin bags should be placed in the overhead lockers or, if small enough, under the seat in front of you.

It’s worth remembering that cabin space is very limited; in the event the overhead lockers are full, all remaining cabin bags will be put into the aircraft hold and will be available for collection at the baggage carousel at your destination.

If you are carrying medicines that you will need during the flight, we advise that you have these already separated in a small, clear bag. We also suggest you keep any travel documents and ID papers with you.

The Vueling hand baggage policy is strict and will be verified before you board the aircraft. If the cabin bag is bigger than the maximum 55x40x20 cm (including handles and wheels), it will not be allowed in the cabin, oversized bags will have to be checked into the aircraft hold at the applicable airport charge.

Hold Luggage

If you purchased hold luggage while making a booking through us, the standard allowance is 25kg per passenger. If you did not purchase hold luggage, or if you wish to carry more luggage, you have the option to book a bag of 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, or 30 kg (max. 1 bag of each type per passenger). At the airport, only 25 kg bag can be purchased.

No single item can weigh more than 32kg. Each checked bag can measure a maximum of 158 cm (length + height + width), regardless of the weight purchased.

Excess Charges

Large Cabin Bag 55 x 40 x 20 - Pre-Purchased before you travel, either online or via our customer service team, costs 10 EUR - 59 EUR per bag. If you do not pre-purchase, Vueling will charge you up to 75 EUR at the airport.

The price of checked luggage may vary depending on the route, flight date, when and where you book the service, among other factors. If you do not pre-purchase, Vueling will charge you up to 160 EUR at the airport for each checked bag.
