Easyjet Baggage Policy

Cabin Bags

You can take ONE cabin bag per person on board, this includes a laptop or ladies handbag. There’s no weight limit but EasyJet ask that you are able to lift it into the overhead locker by yourself.

The maximum size cabin bag size permitted is 56x45x25cm, including handles and wheels. Cabin bags should be placed in the overhead lockers or if small enough under the seat in front of you.

It’s worth remembering that cabin space is very limited and there’s only room for around 70 cabin bags on each flight, in the event the overhead lockers are full, all remaining cabin bags will be put into the aircraft hold and will be available for collection at the baggage carousel at your destination.

If you are carrying any medicines that you will need during the flight, we advise that you have these already separated in a small clear bag, we also suggest you keep any travel documents and ID papers on you.

The EasyJet hand baggage policy is strict and will be verified before you board the aircraft. If the cabin bag is bigger than the maximum 56x45x25cm (including handles and wheels), they will not be allowed in the cabin, oversized bags will have to checked into the aircraft hold at the applicable airport charge. See bags table for details on fees and charges dedicated page. https://www.easyjet.com/en/terms-and-conditions/fees

Flexi, Upfront,Extra Legroom customers and easyJet Plus cardholders can take an additional small bag under seat bag like a laptop bag or handbag. Maximum size 45x36x20cm, these bags must be placed under the seat in front of you.

Hands Free

Take the hassle of out of carrying your cabin bag through the airport and avoid the rush for locker space by going Hands Free. Simply drop your cabin bag off at EasyJet Plus Bag Drop and EasyJet will do the rest. You’ll even get your bags first off at the baggage carousel. Hands free also allows you to board the early.

A small fee applies for this service which can be added after you make your booking.

Hold Luggage

Each customer including children and infants can buy up to three hold bags. A standard hold bag is 23kg (for new bookings made from 15 November 2017)*. You can buy extra weight in 3kgs units, up to a maximum of 32kg per bag.

If you’re travelling with family or friends on the same flight and booking, you can pool your total weight allowance.

No single item can weigh more than 32kg. Maximum total size (length + width +height) = under 275cm.

Infants

If you’re travelling with an infant who will be seated on your lap, only an additional baby changing bag is allowed for the infant (45x36x20cm) this must be placed under the seat in front of you. If you have purchased an infant seat they are allowed a cabin bag plus a changing bag (45x36x20 cm).
