Radiance of the Seas is the flagship of the Royal Caribbean Radiance class cruise ships, which includes the Brilliance of the Seas, the Jewel of the Seas, and the Serenade of the Seas. She was the first gas-turbine vessel built for Royal Caribbean, of which features include it more efficient at higher speeds with lower emissions than other diesel engine ships.

She had a major refurbishment in 2011, which added eight new restaurants as well as upgraded cabins, Wi-Fi throughout, and a massive new poolside movie screen. She is the Royal Caribbean cruise ship with the most glass to allow for fantastic panoramic views and is a brilliant cruise ship for guests of any age.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and included in your cruise fare, Windjammer serves international favourites across live-cooking stations, made-to-order pasta, wood-fired pizza, carving counters, a generous salad bar and a dessert island that refuses to behave. Family-friendly and fast, it is perfect for shore-excursion refuels, late-night snacks or feeding a picky troop with something everyone will love.

Izumi

The Izumi Japanese Cuisine restaurant on deck eleven offers a la carte pricing for their scrumptious food offerings. It can seat up to 74 passengers and opens for lunch on certain days and dinner every day. The decor is sleek and modern with Asian art on the walls and a massive sushi bar in the middle of the room. It overlooks the Esplanade and serves fresh sushi and sashimi. The prices are reasonable compared to what you pay on land, and they also have some noodle dishes and salads available for those who don't like eating sushi.

Chops Grille

Turn dinner into a standing ovation at Chops Grille on Radiance of the Seas, the shipboard steakhouse where prime cuts, polished service and a cheeky sense of occasion come together beautifully. Expect perfectly seared ribeyes, tender filet mignon and generous bone-in chops, plus surf-and-turf options that pair lobster or jumbo shrimp with masterful grilling. Classic steakhouse sides get a gourmet twist and the curated wine list and signature cocktails make every pairing feel considered.

Solarium Bar

Escape the bustle and sink into serenity at Solarium Bar on Radiance of the Seas, the adults-only poolside sanctuary where panoramic ocean views and sunset cocktails make relaxation feel like a formal appointment. Nestled beside the spa and glass-enclosed solarium, this calm retreat pours refreshing signature cocktails, crisp mocktails and a curated wine selection, paired with light, wellness-minded bites that taste indulgent and do your wellbeing a favour.

Bars and Lounges

Schooner

The Schooner Bar can be found on deck six and can seat up to 144 guests. It has a nautical theme with a 'mast' with ropes and knots which are treated to create a lovely wooden ship smell throughout the restaurant. There is even a cannon with loaded cannonballs, which smells of gunpowder as you enter the room. Other nautical design items include pieces of art and glass tables etched with ship wheel designed and blue and white leather sofas. It is very popular among guests and gets pretty busy just before and after the main dinner seatings.

Viking Crown Lounge

Head skyward for the best seat in the house at Viking Crown Lounge on Radiance of the Seas, the iconic observation lounge where panoramic 360 degree sea views meet perfectly mixed sunset cocktails and polished, guest-first service. Plush seating and floor-to-ceiling windows make it ideal for romantic toasts, pre-dinner aperitifs or a quiet perch to watch the horizon do its thing. Expect premium spirits, a curated wine list and expertly crafted signature drinks served with warm hospitality, often alongside mellow live piano that lifts the mood without stealing the view.

Bombay Billiards Club

Billiard players may want to give the Radiance' tables a go as she was the first cruise ships to have her billiards tables stabilised by a computer-controlled gyroscope. Back then it was cutting edge technology, which helps the table say level, no matter the motion of the ship.

Jogging Track

The ship's outdoor walking and jogging track is on deck twelve. It circles around the pool deck and 6.3 laps is equal to a mile.

Theatre

The Aurora Theatre can be found on decks four and five and seats 868 guests. The Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers perform Broadway-style production shows and cabaret here. The theatre also hosts guest hypnotists, comedians and singers and dancers. Other popular shows include the Radiance's Love and Marriage game show and late-night adult only comedy shows. It has its own bar and you can order a drink from your seat if you like.

Casino Royale

The Radiance's casino is on deck six and has a 256-guest capacity. They have plenty of gaming tables and more than two hundred slot machines to cater for any gaming budget.
